The efforts to enhance soil health, increase crop yields, and promote sustainable farming practices caught his attention, highlighting the significant role biochar can play in environmental conservation and agricultural development. "This innovative work in Malawi is setting an example for sustainable solutions that benefit both the land and the people" he said. Dr. Machado is a Soil Scientist based in USA.

🌱🍀Excited that our colleagues joined a two day Agriculture Fair where they showcased at Gymkana Club in Zomba district under the theme; Enhanced Agriculture Productivity for Commercialization. Malawi's development philosophy (MW2063) grossily depends on agriculture productivity and commercialization to fully pursue agriculture competitive value chains, creation of jobs and food security.
