The students come from around the United States and Canada and live in Miami most of the school year. Rabbi Dr. Salfer has developed various techniques to help them develop skills so that they are able to feel comfortable davening, reading from the Torah (leining), writing, learning Gemara, and also enjoying it. The goal is develop a person who will be able to and will enjoy learning also during t
Operating as usual
This winter, a flash flood destroyed Yeshivas Doresh. Within a few hours the buildings were waist high in water!
We need to rebuild Yeshivas Doresh!
The young students need to see that a bright future lies ahead.
They need to see that there is a community behind them. A community that exemplifies the perseverance and sense of responsibility that we profess each and every day.
When you donate, you construct a home for students who haven't flourished anywhere else. Only at Yeshivas Doresh are they equipped with the gifts of independence, responsibility, and opportunity for a future.
Please donate today and help rebuild our Makom Torah.
Yeshivas Doresh You are reading this because you care about the next generation. You wonder what will happen to young men who struggle in school. You feel for their parents who spend more time feeling worried and frustrated than proud and confident about their child’s future.
A great education does not happen on its own. It takes a lot of support to build an environment that gives challenged boys the ability to learn and SUCCEED. We need your support. The time is NOW.

The Rosh Yeshiva of Diaspora Yeshiva is a brilliant broad minded thinker and author, who has traveled all over the world on expeditions with his Yeshiva and family. He is one of 10 brothers and has 16 children. The Diaspora Yeshiva campus was part of the spoils of the 1967 war taken back from the Jordanians. As part of the Diaspora Yeshiva property is the room of ‘The Last Supper’, which thousands visit every day (which he won’t accept any payment for); King David’s Tomb; a Holocaust museum; etc. Over the past 20 years, the Rosh Yeshiva has single handedly defended the Yeshiva from the Israeli government and the Vatican from taking possession of their property in numerous battles. He has been to Rome numerous times and has met with officials and lawyers on a few continents. He and his family are still recognized after having been on a hit Israeli virtual reality TV show for a few months to show the Country the Torah life his family leads. He has received from various rabbis, numerous Rabbinical Ordinations covering most of the Jewish Law. He has started Jewish communities and kollels in various parts of the world. He is returning from a trip to Columbia to meet with a group of Messianic Church leaders who have converted to Judaism, as a result of having met with him a few years ago. He has been helping them establish a Jewish community in the heart of the Rainforest with proper Moels, Shochets, rabbis, teachers, etc.
Mrs. Salfer was interviewed for the article below in the Forward.
