Join Jantina Anderson as we discuss the biases and discrimination that are associated with Black hair, the lived experiences of Black women and girls who wear their natural hair, and how responses to Black/African American hair texture perpetuate racism (internalized, systematic, and/or institutional) in America.
Presentation will be followed by Q&A and a giveaway of Black hair care products from .
Members of the Butler community from all backgrounds and identities are invited to receive education on real-life experiences, recognize bias, and move toward allyship of Black women and men.
Free and open to all. Visitor parking available in Sunset Avenue Parking Garage.

With the creation of The Family Reunion, Brittney and Kent had already solidified their legacy at Butler University. We are excited to celebrate Dr. Warren G. Morgan II being named Cleveland Metropolitan School District's newest CEO. Warren has served Butler as a student in the role of SGA President, as an alumnus as a member of the Hub Advisory Group and in the Indianapolis community as Chief Academics Officer at Indianapolis Public Schools. We are proud to call Warren a Bulldog and a member of the Black Alumni Association.

For those joining us at the Diversity Center Open House, as a note: For the last few years, students affiliated with the Diversity Center have housed a toiletry pantry for their fellow students. If you are interested in contributing, the most needed items currently include body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner.
It's that time of year again!! Butler University's Homecoming 2022 will be October 21-23. Come join alumni, students, and faculty for a weekend of Bulldog Spirit.
✨ Starting with the Efroymson Diversity Center's Open House on Friday, October 21, where alumni will have a chance to meet students as well as new staff including: Randall Ojeda, Director of the Diversity Center, KaBree Harley, Assistant Director of the Diversity Center and Dr. Khalilah Shabazz, Chief Diversity Officer.
✨ Saturday will bring us the annual Butler Family Reunion Tailgate, where we celebrate together and support our Bulldog football team!
