Anyone get evaluated in college or later in life and learned something you didn't know about yourself? Two years ago I was formally diagnosed with ADHD. I always suspected there was something going on, but I never understood the impact ADHD had on my life and how I could manage it in a healthier way. Embracing this part of me has been a profoundly positive life-changing experience. While l've been able to develop tools and strategies to use my ADHD to its potential, I would've benefited had I received some sort of accommodation during my education and had access to similar student services in college. A lot of students can get by without realizing there's an underlying issue. If you are struggling or you're a parent of someone struggling, encourage them to reach out to a healthcare provider.
