Hokkaido University Africa Office has been implementing the Study-in-Japan Project (Study in Japan Info for Africa) since 2014, commissioned by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology ( ). We are sorry to announce that the Hokkaido University Africa Office is leaving this project at the end of March 2024.

The Study Abroad Coordinators from the Office would like to sincerely thank you all for your interests in studying in Japan and would like to encourage talented African students to keep on trying to make your dreams of studying in Japan come true.

This year, we are launching a promotional campaign featuring G30 Student Ambassadors and we are currently looking for active students who could represent the G30 program online and during in-person events.

We are looking to hire 6 undergraduate G30 students and 6 graduate G30 students. Each student will be asked to work part-time for a period of one month to promote the program. We are looking for a wide variety of students so anybody who is interested is free to apply. Application deadline in on April 11th but we are hoping to start the project already in April so the sooner you apply the more changes you have of being selected.

KIC has accepted students from 99 countries, including 263 students from 38 African countries (as of March 2024), both full-time and short-term, mainly through JICA programs. KIC will continue to work closely with JICA and make every effort to train students from Africa and around the world through exploration.
