Happy new year to you all

21/08/2022

The Alumni of St. Paul the Apostle Minor Seminary (SPAS) in Mangochi Diocese of the Catholic Church have today donated 100 desks worth 4.5 million to their former school at a function which took place along side this year's graduation of form 4 students.

Chairperson for the Alumni Association Anthony Ziba said the donation is their response to the numerous challenges facing the school due to its old age.

Both the Vicar General for Mangochi Diocese Reverend Father Frank Chingale and SPAS Acting Rector Father Goodson Kanyoza have hailed the initiative and asked for more support to the old school which is in dire need of renovation.

The school was opened on 4th November 1985 as a special institution where Catholic boys who feel called to the life of priesthood are helped to discern their vocation.

St. Paul the Apostle Minor Seminary (SPAS) is found in Mangochi Diocese of the Catholic Church. The Seminary, which opened its doors on 4th November 1985, is a special institution where Catholic boys who feel called to the life of priesthood are helped to discern their vocation and given appropriate means to strengthen and embrace this call.

Due to old age, the school is in need of various intervention in different areas for it to return to its old glory. It is against this background that the Alumni of St Paul the Apostle Minor Seminary (SPAS Alumni) engaged in an initiative of buying the state of the art desks for the institution and the official handover of these desks will take place tomorrow, Saturday, August 20,2022 at the school campus in Mangochi.

The event will take place along this year's graduation ceremony of form 4 students who'll sit for their MSCE this year.
