Paris High School FBLA

Yesterday we attended the District I Fall Leadership Conference in Greenwood. Our Paris Chapter President, Abby Yarnell, is also the President of District I and she did a great job leading the conference yesterday!

Today is conference day and here is our District I president!

We are finally on our Paris school bus headed home with Mrs. Potts!

We are thankful for the opportunity to attend this conference and to everyone that helped along the way. Especially Mrs. Shelley Potts for driving us to and from the airport and Mrs. Holly Shotman, Mrs. Abby Johnson and Sheriff Jason Massey for helping chaperone this trip. Without all of their help, the trip would not have been possible.

We didn’t make it on national stage this year but our members gained leadership and life skills over the last 7 days. On the way home there has already been talk about next year’s competitions!

We walked over 40 miles since we left last Thursday. We are all exhausted but it was worth it to be able to do as much as we did on top of a busy conference and competition schedule. We can’t wait for next year!

Abby Yarnell is serving as the 24-25 Arkansas District I State Vice President. She did a great job representing our school and Arkansas FBLA this week!

Yesterday was a full day of conference! We attended workshops and Olivia took her test and so did Haylee and Kaylee. We ended the night at the Opening Session that included some awards, a keynote speaker and the national officer candidate campaign speeches where one of our Arkansas members, Brody Ray, gave a great speech! We have more competitions today and are planning to end the day with going to dinner and some much deserved downtime.

We had a great day today at Universal Studios! We walked a ton, ate a ton, and rode a ton of rides! It rained the last couple hours we were at the park but that didn’t slow us down! Conference starts tomorrow. Wish us luck as we start our competitions!

Abby Yarnell completed the 2024 State Officer Leadership Academy this week. She worked with fellow state officers from FBLA and other various organizations in our state to plan the upcoming year and develop stronger leadership skills. It was a long three days but she had fun! Thank you to ATU and DCTE, especially Mrs. Sunni Teale, for making this possible!

Members got to present to the school board tonight at their meeting. Thank you School Board for always making it possible for us to attend FBLA conferences and for supporting us throughout the year in everything we do! Our success is always a reflection of your support. Thank you!

It will be 5:00 - 8:00 pm.
The price of entry is $20 for one girl and one adult, and an additional $5 for each additional girl with the same adult.
Pay cash at door. No RSVP required.
Snacks and punch will be provided!

We had a great time at the 2024 FBLA State Leadership Conference earlier this week!

Preslee Bowman completed her term as the 23-24 Arkansas State Treasurer. Abby Yarnell was sworn in as the 24-35 Arkansas District I State Vice President.

Aryanna King was awarded the Mildred Brading Scholarship.

Today we attended the 2024 District I FBLA Spring Leadership Conference.

At this conference we had three district officers: Abby Yarnell, District I Vice President, Layla Patterson, District I Historian, and Preslee Bowman, District I Parliamentarian. They all did a great job leading the conference and all of District I throughout the year!

For the 2024-2025 school year, Abby Yarnell has been elected as the Arkansas FBLA District I State Vice President and Preslee Bowman has been appointed as the District I Parliamentarian.

All of our competitors showed great knowledge and presentation abilities. Here are the students that placed today and will advance to the Arkansas FBLA State Leadership Conference in April along with some of our members who are in events that begin at the state level:
