We are all learning new things as we navigate Covid 19. We make adjustments and then we adjust some more. My guess is, we are finding that we are more flexible than we ever thought possible.
It has been a frustrating and in many ways a very difficult time...there have been significant losses. On the other hand, there has been discoveries, beauty and growth in each of our lives. What are some of those things for you?
Excelsior Springs High School - Class of '76
A way for classmates of '76 to stay in contact.
What new thing(s) have you learned during our time of quarantine?
Hey, Friends! My guess is none of us have ever experienced anything quite like what we are going through right now. My prayer is that you are all healthy and are doing as much as you can to stay that way.
We all experiencing a plethora of emotion as we confront this virus and the restrictions it has put on our lives. Fear, anger, disbelief, anxiety, and maybe even despair are familiar companions these days. There is various kind of loss for each of us, which leads to another emotion...grief.
We don't know what tomorrow holds, but then we honestly didn't know even before Covid-19 entered the scene. No one knows what a day will bring.
I don't know what kind of faith you profess or where you have placed your confidence and trust. I do know that life as we have known it is a little shaky right now. I, for one, have put my trust in a God who is not the least surprised by any of this and is absolutely still in control. I don't know the outcome of this catastrophic event for the world or even for my personal life, but I do know that God is still working in and through it and in each of our lives.
There is a song we have been worshipping with recently at the church I attend called "Waymaker". The bridge lyric says, "Even when I don't see it Your working. Even when I don't feel it Your working. You never stop, You never stop working. You never stop, You never stop working." Lately the truth of the words is settling deep in my heart and I find myself singing this constantly. Maybe they will encourage you, too.
Please tell us what you are doing to navigate these trying times. Let's come through, not just somehow, but triumphantly!

Terry Wood left a message looking for Mike Cyrus from our class. Anyone know anything about him or where he might be?
What is everyone up to this summer?
Freshman year...Tiger Tales club.
Put this on my personal page today. Thought I would throw it on here. There are a few of you 76ers on here. (From our Freshman yearbook.)
76ers, please feel free to invite other classmates to like this page, so we can all show up here!
Met Leigh Williams for breakfast before leaving Nashville this past week. Which of your classmates have you caught up with lately?
Can you find yourself here?
Here's to you, Classmates! May you grow, learn and become who you truly want to be in 2017! You get to choose! Isn't that awesome?
What is everyone up to? Check in.
Hey, 76ers! This is your place to connect. What is going on in your life?
Anyone still wish they were in high school? All we really wanted then was to be be grown up and being in charge of our own lives. The real world was a little harder than we all imaged wasn't it?
Did anyone get together during the Tiger Classic? Tell us about it! Throw some pictures on here!
This was the week the Class of 76 was talking about getting together. I haven't seen anymore about it. Did anyone get that organized even informally?
Hey, Classmates! There has been talk of a reunion around the Gregg Williams Foundation - Tiger Classic. Anyone organizing this? Bear in mind, hotel space may be hard to find at this point. http://greggwilliamsfoundation.org
Hey, Classmates! I would love to put some pictures out there from time to time on this page. If you have some from high school days you'd like to see on here message me and I will give you my personal email to send them to. Please send them as jpg's. I love you all, but I can't give my time to converting the pictures to a usable format. -Deb
I think it is incredibly awesome that we are reconnecting (or honestly maybe connecting for the first time). It is so sad, however, that we have lost so many of our classmates already, all of them much too young! As we connect here, I think it would be a wonderful thing if we could honor the lives of the ones who have already said their earthly good-byes. Will you all help me compile a list of their names and if you know their birthdays and date of death. Just comment on this post to add their names. -Deb
