[❓ Q&A DBA ❓] How do you choose a DBA (Doctorate of Business Administration) programme?

'Based on the feedback I have received from over 400 doctoral managers since 2013, I would like to give you the following answer according to your personal objectives.

If your aim is just to get the degree and the title, then it is simple: I would advise you to choose the cheapest and shortest programme!

If, on the other hand, you want to produce a high-quality thesis with the potential to generate significant impact that will make you proud and provide the basis for publications, conferences, teaching and consultancy assignments, then your choice requires a different kind of thought process.

In a DBA programme, the real difference is invisible: the availability of your professors, their responsiveness, their commitment to helping you succeed, and the quality of the supervision process. This observation is based on the testimonies of doctoral managers (from Germany, Switzerland and Singapore in particular) who have contacted our institution to change DBA programmes along the way.

There are five visible criteria to focus on:
1. The number and quality of professors available to supervise managers theses. 👩‍🏫
2. The number of DBA theses already defended, as this indicates the strength of the
Programme. 📚
3. The international accreditation status of the programme (e.g. AMBA), which indicates that the DBA has undergone rigorous quality assurance. But be careful not to confuse institutional accreditation with programme accreditation, or MBA accreditation with DBA accreditation! To be sure, ask the programme manager directly, or check the programme’s accreditation status on the accreditation’s website!🏆
4. The number of publications authored by recent DBA graduates.📰
5. The length of the programme (a minimum of 3 to 4 years is required to produce a quality thesis).🗓️
