Yesterday, Foundation Board members Jennifer Huckaby, Jill Nerio, Dr. LaVerne Wimberly, Dr. Nate Todd, and Liz Powell helped assemble and deliver goodie bags of tissue, disinfecting wipes, and other necessities to every administrator, teacher, and staff person at Booker T. The process of wrestling into and unpacking dozens of heavy boxes was worth the smiles of the grateful recipients.
Would you like to help us show love to this core part of the Booker T. family? Consider donating to the Foundation in the name of a past or present teacher. You can even designate your donation to go to a specific person, department, or program by putting a note with your donation. We can also arrange to distribute supplies, gift certificates, or just about any other donation.
This year TPS teachers are being asked by district leadership to shoulder extra responsibilities because of state over-sights. This is a great time to show some love to Booker T. and let them know that we have their backs.
Folks at school are spiffing up for '24--'25! Mrs. Cooper needs a bookshelf to put under the BTW Crest. Do you have a gently used bookshelf, about 36 inches across, that you would be willing to donate?

We are proud of you!
Please take a few minutes to send a friendly email or write a note of gratitude to the teachers who work so hard for our Hornets. While you are at it, consider that the Booker T. Washington Foundation for Excellence spends about $20K per school year for platforms such as Turnitin and DeltaMath that students use with their assignments and that saves time and work for teachers. Please consider honoring our teachers by making a donation to the Foundation in a teacher's name. We will send a notice to the teacher, and you will know that you are helping us help Booker T. teachers. www.btwfoundation.net
Thank you Booker T. teachers for the early mornings, the late nights, the days on-end that you spend thinking about and preparing to serve the students under your care. You are the best!
If you wish to recognize a teacher, or two, or seven, please consider making a donation to the Booker T. Washington Foundation for Excellence in their names. We will make sure they know that you have honored them. https://www.btwfoundation.net
