Koori Kindarama is certainly the place to be on a Monday morning, 10am to 12pm.
Sensory play and activities with Becky and Jacky ensured little hands were busy and covered in amazing things.
Marion Packham connected last weeks activity of fishing and counting with a story and song and Yasmine really enjoyed having a chat with everyone.
It is fantastic to see Mums and their little ones relaxing in the space at the Wiradjuri Study Centre while exploring hands on activites.
Uncle Dick Richards was ready to catch up with his great granchildren after a cuppa.

Thursday 1st February 2024
Lachlan Children Services vacation care
had a wonderful start to the day with a visit to the Wiradjuri Study Centre
A tour of the amazing centre by
Danielle Richards who highlighted the wonderful art gallery.
A Wiradjuri language lesson with
Marion Packham focused on the word for fish-guya. This bought about discussions of holidays, camping and fishing with family and friends. Yes, even the Carpathon received a mention.
Uncle Dick Richards was on deck and ready to inspect some of the guya and share a yarn.
Children could remember words previously taught from last year and were excited to learn new ones.
Yasmine Dargin our WCC Language Program trainee shared her drawing of a fish and demonstrated how to paint with watercolours. She also assisted children throughout the session.
After the art session children listened to the story of The Rainbow fish and we discussed the moral of the story.
By being humble and sharing this can lead to happiness.
Children deserved a well earned break and play before heading back.
