Endangered book review of Big Game by Dan Smith. I thought the book was relatively easy to read and easy to get into, hence I finished it so quick, I really enjoyed it for suspenseful action sequences throughout, and didn't realize they had made a movie based off it! Probably one of my favorite parts of the book had to be when Oskari began to contemplate whether the trial was really worth it, feeling that he could never amount to the man his father was, feeling that he would never be a true man and would let his father down, it kinda gave you interesting look into the protagonist and gave you kind of a counter culture on what a protagnist is like, usually a protagnist is strong, courageous , and intelligent, in which Oskari often times was referred to as weak and timid. But it was really interesting to see how much Oskari, grew as a character and went from a weak and timid boy to a strong and fearless man throughout the course of the novel after protecting the President of The United States from his terrorist attackers after his plane was brought down near Oskari's village.
Save some books that are on the "Endangered List" (have never been checked out. Read a book from the display table in the library, send me a paragraph about the book, and receive a free book for your efforts (while supplies last).

New magazines arrive daily. The library decided to get a few new subscriptions that lend themselves to the "maker space" idea. One is called Altered Couture, and the other is Greencraft. The idea behind both is about reusing old things to create something new and beautiful. Altered Couture focuses on clothing upcycles while Greencraft is using old things to create new things like jewelry, mouse pads, etc. Did I mention we have a sewing machine in the library? And clothing just waiting for someone to get creative with scissors and thread? Stop in and find out more about the "maker space" attitude at the library.

At age fourteen, Whitney Holcombe stepped onto her bathroom scale and a number glared up at her: 230. That number controlled her life until one day she went for a walk that changed everything.
A little bit memoir and a whole lot of advice, 1 Year, 100 Pounds follows Whitney’s journey to battle obesity, negative self-image, and peer ridicule. Through following a healthy diet and exercise routine, Whitney shed the pounds without pills, trainers, or surgery. And along the way, she discovered the confidence to love her body.
The evacuation of Jews from Nazi-held Denmark is one of the great untold stories of World War II. On September 29, 1943, word got out in Denmark that Jews were to be detained and then sent to the death camps. Within hours the Danish resistance, population and police arranged a small flotilla to herd 7,000 Jews to Sweden. Lois Lowry fictionalizes a true-story account to bring this courageous tale to life. She brings the experience to life through the eyes of 10-year-old Annemarie Johannesen, whose family harbors her best friend, Ellen Rosen, on the eve of the round-up and helps smuggles Ellen's family out of the country.
