Sometimes the things we do second time around are better and hold more value because we take the time to reflect and review, and revive them through a higher love. Don't be afraid to try again and do-over with greater wisdom, a fresh set of eyes, and a renewed hope. Life is not a straight line of first time successes. It's the road that is paved with failure and seemingly wrong turns that provides us with character, emotional grit and inner muscle to find new perspectives. The only expiry date to your dreams, intentions or goals is the one you allow to soak into your soul ..

Sometimes it may feel like you awake daily to a constant companion, where the anxiety, fear or depression are doggedly hanging on. A gnawing anxiety, the bleakness of being lonely or a general queasiness of fear.
How can Mindfulness help with this negative thinking?
- Firstly, allow yourself a moment to say hello to this constant companion.
- Sit up at the side of your bed, acknowledge your familiar friend, and focus on a few breaths.
- Say to yourself, ‘I am feeling sad AND I can breathe in light. I am feeling anxious AND I can breathe in calm.’
- Decide that you will treat yourself with loving kindness.

While you rage against a situation you’re in, or suppress unwanted feelings, you already know this doesn’t work in the long-term.
Instead, open your arms. Surrender; just as you would while floating on a sea of gorgeous blue water. It holds you afloat. Sit with this concept of surrender. Relax your muscles. Breathe slowly and deeply.

Life is made up of a collection of moments that are not ours to keep. The pain we encounter throughout our days spent on this earth comes from the illusion that some moments can be held onto. Clinging to people and experiences that were never ours in the first place is what causes us to miss out on the beauty of the miracle that is the now. All of this is yours, yet none of it is. How could it be? Look around you. Everything is fleeting.
To love and let go, love and let go, love and let go...it's the single most important thing we can learn in this lifetime ..

Tastes of snowflakes on my tongue
Sounds like a soaring violin or a deep bass guitar
And feels as nebulous as cloud.
I sometimes catch a glimpse of hope
As it flings its billowing cloak ahead of me.

About Place of Serenity

The name was inspired by nature. Its double-meaning represents how you have the capacity to find your own place of serenity within yourself as well as in nature. You can achieve this inner calm whenever you take the time to be still and quiet. This is essential when life can feel hectic and uncertain these days. And its the place from which you make change happen.
