Crystallize COST Action

International School on Crystallization (ISC2018): Drugs, agrochemicals, minerals, new materials

The School is organized by the Laboratory of Crystallographic Studies (CSIC / University of Granada) and supported by the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr). ISC2018 will provide five days of lectures and practical demonstrations related to the crystallization of drugs, agrochemical industry, minerals, biominerals and new materials, covering from the fundamental aspects to their applications. Particular emphasis will be given to the crystallization of polymorphs, hydrates, cocrystals and chiral compounds.

The Registration and Grant Application are already open. We would appreciate if you could circulate this information to your colleagues and students.

PhD position available combining Organic Chemistry with Crystallization Process Studies and one one-year position for a person with an MS level.
This latter position might be transferable into a PhD afterwards.
Both positions are available at the at the Institute of Condensed Matter and Nanosciences - Laboratory of Crystal Engineering, Université Catholique de Louvain.

The Laboratory of Crystallographic Studies has just launched the 5th Granada International School of Crystallization, which will be held in Granada from Sunday 29th of May to Friday 3rd of June 2016. The School is open to postgraduate students and
postdoctoral/research scientists from academia and industry who are interested in the fundamental knowledge of Crystallization. Further details can be found on http://www.iscgranada.org/

The next Crystallize COST Action Meeting will take place in Berlin on 23rd & 24th November 2015. The event will commence at 9am Monday and will finish at 4pm on Tuesday and will be hosted by Franziska Emmerling in the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM).
