Congratulations to all the students and teachers that took part in LA GIORNATA DELL’ITALIANO at Brandeis University sponsored by MITA. The talent, creativity and poise of everyone wowed us!! We are grateful to Prof. Paola Servino for hosting this event and Prof. Ivana Marroncelli, Director of Education at Boston’s Italian Consulate, for participating. Congratulations to the winners: Medford (1st), Lexington (2nd), Arlington Catholic (3rd) and to the teachers. BRAVISSIMI TUTTI!! We all look forward to more schools participating next year.

Very successful day at MaFLA 23 conference with the welcome visit of the Consul General of Italy Arnaldo Minuti, the keynote speaker from Italy Fred Kudjo Kuwornu, our tireless MITA board members Gina Maiellaro, Paola Rossi, Nicole Chalifoux and many others. We are very proud of Vilma Bibeau, chairperson of this fine conference.

A resound success for MITA’s La Giornata dell’Italiano ‘23 at Brandeis University attended by 5 school, 130 students, 20 teachers, the Italian Consul and the Director of Education.

Students competed in performing skits related to Italian history, geography and culture. They were creative, informative and totally entertaining!
