Our entire Washington team that was at the conference won Makey Makey systems because we were the ISTE Tetris champs! Kids - if you don’t know what Tetris is I encourage you to look it up! 😊 can’t wait to use these this year!

Miss Wissink is at a technology conference in Chicago with Me. Robarge, Mrs. Levy, and Mr. Callahan, among other teachers, and leaders in OASD. I can’t wait to use what I’ve learned!

We had a great last week of school, all the now 6th graders will forever have a place in my heart and at Washington. On the last day 5th graders were sent home with a book and directions for joining our online book clubs! If you have any questions for joining please let me know!

Today you'll find 5th-grade graduation reminders going home. Graduation is June 5th at 3PM in the gym. We are collecting baby pictures for the graduation slideshow. These can be any pictures you'd like to send in, including pictures from earlier grades with several children in them. Did you know that Miss Wissink’s art teacher is still in the district and that she’s retiring this year! Art was one of her favorite things in elementary school. While she’s not our art teacher, Mrs. Toney our art teacher let Miss Wissink come join in on a project!

Adventures of room 21. I wish I could explain how much of a distraction a tree is! The kind man who was cutting the tree waved to us multiple times and we LOVED watching the tree fall.

Miss Wissink starts her garden at school and we showed up today and the sugar snap peas were absolutely out of control! My new raised garden bed isn’t ready yet, so this will have to do for the sugar snaps for this year!
