I see you dashing around.
I see you, and your mind racing even when your physical body may stop for a brief moment.
I see you trying to juggle everything and pushing yourself to the limit.
I see you.
Now imagine me holding your hands gently, guiding you to a peaceful space where we can sit down (with a cuppa of course) and chat. It’s not about anything negative. I actually want you to leave this conversation feeling inspired.
But more than anything, I want you to rest. You being exhausted by the end of everyday, day after day does not serve anyone. I know you’re doing your best. I know you’re giving it your all and trying not to waste any bit of your life.
I also understand the self-doubt that plagues you daily, questioning if you’re on the right path, if you are doing the right things however this just leaves you worn out and on the edge of burnout. It’s okay to find joy in the present moment instead of constantly planning for the future.
I know you’re focused on doing right by others, but what about doing what makes you happy? You’re striving for perfection, trying to live wisely and happily. But here’s the truth: you’re doing great. We all are. It is comparison and the media and childhood expectations that make us feel like we are failing in certain areas of our life.
Don’t fall for the lie that you need to do everything now or indeed that you need to do everything at all ! That’s just overwhelming noise that will leave you fragmented, stressed and not able to find the joy in your life. It’s perfectly fine to take breaks, slow down, and enjoy life.
Imagine living from a place of rest, where you balance the things we must do with joy and relaxation. The world will keep spinning even if you take a moment to breathe.
I know its tough. I see you because I am you! I struggle too, but you are not alone and I am always here as your biggest supporter 💕

Sooooo one of the side effects of surgery is apparently your taste changes.... Which I thought was tosh! 🙈 Why would having part of your stomach cut away, change your taste? 🤷🏼♀️ However it's defo a thing!!
There is so much I no longer like 🥴 and new things I love! For example my 1st ever coffee consumed! ⏬
Could not stand coffee before, and ok this was cold and caramel flavour but it went down a treat 👌🏼 Who even am I??? 🤷🏼♀️

Anyhoo life must go on. Here's my first day on LRD
Brekkie - None (felt poorly)
Lunch - Apple (Didn't end up eating the Yog as apple was enough)
Dinner - Chicken Fajita on lettuce. I had double portion of chicken and peppers as hadn't brekkie or proper lunch. Then Yoghurt.
Supper - Tried some beef bone broth 😑 don't think that's going to be for me!
Ham & Tom omelette, 100ml milk and 80g grapes

It has been a right week so far!!
- Sunday little man gets two bumps to the head on 2 separate occasions. Late Sunday night he wakes up screaming about his head hurting. Takes 4 hours to settle him
- Monday keep him off to school to monitor. Midday he spikes a lot temperature.
- Meanwhile we receive notice of a £1000 deduction from monthly pay that we had not accounted for 🫤
- Early hours of Tues morning Hunters temp reached 40.1. Call 111. End up at Children's Hospital. Ear Infection diagnosed, but no meds given in the end as they want to see if he gets worse first 🤦🏼♀️
- Due to two bumped heads, safeguarding is triggered for social services
- Tuesday afternoon Hunter starts vomiting and is now much more drowsy. Take him back to the Docs as advised by the hospital. They give him a STICKER 🥴🙄😳 More vomit Tuesday night and a temp of 39.4 that doesn't decrease with meds.
Meanwhile Wednesday was my last day of eating!! Today I am on the 800 calories for 2weeks with zero carbs to get my body ready for surgery. I had lovely food plans this week.... Miller & Carter's, Indian and Chinese. None of those have happened. Instead I had two pieces of cheese on toast on Tues night for my tea 🙈🙈 however I did squeeze in an Indian last night!
P.S. Dan and I are also ill. Some snotty, cough thing.
P.P.S. It was Victorian day in Hunters class Wednesday and so he should have been going dressed like below. He was so upset to be missing it.

Contact day today 🫤
As usual, the huge mix of emotions. Hunter squealed with delight when I said we were seeing Mummy ***** today.
The other day he asked me what his 1st word was. I don't know the answer.
A few nights ago he asked to go through his memory box, looking for a card he got from his Mum.
This morning he asked me where he was born.
All of the above is normal & natural and his questions will increase as he grows older. His happiness & mental stability are my number 1 priority, so it's great to see all of the above however it's still hard 🤷🏼♀️ I'm not going to lie. A part of me hurts.
The most confusing part always for me is the pain AND the gratitude.
Contact day is a reminder of the biggest honour and gift of my entire life, raising Hunter. So I feel this gratitude and blessed feeling whilst also feeling sad and hurt and I guess if I had to name it .... Possessive.
I just want to grab my little sausage and hold him close. It's very hard to share him BUT as I have those thoughts and feelings I then think of how hard it must be for his other Mummy to share him. Even harder. So then my heart hurts for her. Eugh. 💔
It's a whole lot of difficult. That's what it is!!
But worth it.
That smile is everything.

Apologies for the delayed update, but our podcast is taking a brief hiatus. Despite our initial plan to resume yesterday, we're hitting pause for the next couple of weeks. This break aligns with a mix of personal events, including my birthday weekend, home organization for the new year, and starting a new role at Hunter's School tomorrow.
At Magick Moments Podcast & Mindset Magick, our focus is on supporting your thoughts, mental health, and personal growth. To ensure we bring you content with the right mindset, we've decided to temporarily step back. Authenticity is crucial to us, and we don't want to force anything. Life happens, and we believe it's okay to take a break. We'll keep you posted on our return date.
In the past, we might have pushed through, sacrificed quality for deadlines, but now we value authenticity and quality over arbitrary timelines. I encourage you, too, to grant yourself the same permission to pause when needed, establish boundaries, and resist the internal pressure to meet self-imposed deadlines. Nature slows down during this period, and perhaps, we should too. Trust your instincts over societal expectations, and remember, it's okay to extend your own deadlines for the sake of your well-being.
