Has your creative expression ever been stymied by self-doubt? Just like I tell my high school acting students, we have to put tools in our toolbox to deal with the inevitable mental and emotional challenges of being a creative person - whether we are pursuing that vocationally or avocationally.
I once wrote a story for my grandmother but never showed it to her because I got the tiniest criticism as I was getting ready to print it. I wish I could have shared that story with her.
