ICC @ Philippine Computer Society March 2023 Conference

ICC, represented by ICC Imus Training & Operations Staff Ms Julie ann Collera, attended the Philippine Computer Society (PCS) March 2023 Conference last March 28, 2023 via Zoom app. The theme for the event was "Information Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation".

The following were the speakers for the event:
1. Mr Edison Diza, PCS President. He gave the Welcome Remarks.
2. Ms Myya Rosales, International Certified Meta Coach. She gave an introduction to entrepreneurship and introduced the Wadhwani foundation.
3. Mr Cris Delgado, Senior Program Manager of Wadhwani foundation. He discussed the Wadhwani Entrepreneur Network (WEN).
4. Dr Romesh Wadhani, Indian-American billionaire businessman, founder of Symphony Technology Group and Chairman of Wadhani foundation.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! ICC Carmona Student wins 2022 Keyboard Competition (BKP-NC3 Category)

ICC Carmona Office Management student Ma.Jhurinne Aguinaldo won the 2022 Keyboard/Speedtest Competition (BkP-NC3 Category) held last October 15, 2022 at ICC Imus, Imus, Cavite. (The BKP-NC3 Category consists of students taking up Computer Secretarial, Office Management, Computerized Accounting, Entrepreneurship Technology Courses).

The overall winners are as follows:
1. Ma.Jhurinne Aguinaldo of ICC Carmona (OFM) - 1st Place/Champion (41 wpm; 93% accuracy)
2. Cathyrane Kate Ventura of ICC GMA (CAC) - 2nd Place (37 wpm; 87% accuracy)
3. Arielle Mae Felizardo of ICC Imus (BME) - 3rd Place (37 wpm, 86% accuracy)

ICC Imus Welcomes New ICC TESDA Certified Bookkeeping NC3 Trainor with Doctoral Degree

ICC would like to welcome Dr. Ed Jesson Valiente, ICC Imus' new TESDA Certified Bokkeeping NC3 Trainor. Dr. Valiente will handle the TESDA Scholarship grant awarded to ICC Imus. He is a Tesda Certified BKP NC3 Trainor and finished Bachelor of Office Administration. He has PhD in Development Administration and finished his Master in Management Major in Public Administration. He is also currently teaching at the Laguna State Polytechnic University. He is a Professional Licensed Teacher and has a Civil Service Eligibility.

ICC Welcomes New ICC TESDA Certified Bookkeeping NC3 Trainor

ICC would like to welcome Ms. Rochelle De Leon, our new TESDA Certified Bokkeeping NC3 Trainor. Ms De Leon will handle the TESDA Scholarship grant awarded to ICC

Trece. She is a Tesda Certified BKP NC3 Trainor and graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science Major in Accountancy. She likewise has Masteral units in Business

Administration (MBA). She is also currently teaching at the University of Rizal System and at La Salle Green Hills. From 2005-2012, she worked at the Al Moosa

Investment Group in Dubai, United Arab Emirates as Executive Assistant of the Chief Executive Officer.

ICC Rosario & Salawag wins 2020 ICC IT Competition (Software Category). ICC Rosario student Mark Eric Adriano & ICC Salawag student Manami Kimura tied for first place to win the 2020 ICC IT Competition (Software Category) held last February 21, 2020 at ICC Carmona, Paseo de Carmona, Gov Drive, Carmona, Cavite. Hazel Lyn Gache of ICC Silang won second place while Bryan Gambol of ICC Trece won third place.

ICC FSAP & ICC Salawag SC Joint Student Activity 18/08/2019

ICC FSAP & ICC Salawag SC Joint Student Activity. ICC FSAP (Future Secretaries & Admin Professionals) & ICC Salawag SC (Student Council) organized a seminar entitled "Customer Service in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) Industry last August 17, 2019 at ICC Salawag, Molino-Paliparan Road, Dasmarinas, Cavite. The seminar resource speaker was Mrs. Anna Lorraine Ronquillo, Frontline Leadership Development Manager of iQOR.

iQor is a business process outsourcing company which provides customer service, third-party collections and accounts receivable management. Although its headquarters are located in St. Petersburg, Florida, the company operates about 40 call centers in North America, Europe, and Asia. The city of Dasmariñas Cavite is home to two of iQor’s premier contact centers, they are located in SM City Pala-Pala and the Robinsons Place Dasmarinas.

The seminar seeks to provide the student participants with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the contact center industry and to promote excellent employment opportunities to all ICC graduating students.

Congratulations!!! to ICC FSAP led by its president Rosalinda Estabaya of ICC Silang and the ICC Salawag Student Council led by SC President Grace Dordas for being the first student organizations to organize a student-led school activity for school year 2019-2020.

The GNU Computerized Accounting System 22/01/2019

The GNU Computerized Accounting System. Imus Computer College (ICC), in cooperation with the Cavite Computer Society (CCS), held the SEEK Information Technology Conference 2019 (seek I.T. 2019) last January 19, 2019 in Imus, Cavite. The theme of "seek i.t. 2019" was "Living in Digital Times ".

One of the seminars was specially organized for computerized accounting majors. The seminar title was "The GNU Computerized Accounting System". "GnuCash is a small-business financial accounting software, freely licensed and is available for Linux, Mac OS and Microsoft Windows. GNU is a Unix-like operating system, developed in Jan 1984 under the auspices of the GNU project. The name "GNU" is a recursive acronym for "GNU's Not Unix ..... gnu.org"

ICC has integrated seminars/conferences such as seek i.t. 2019 as part of its curriculum to provide the latest information about significant topics happening in the world and instill in its students the habit of continuous learning and professional development.
