🚨BREAKNG THE CYCLES: 🚫Don't Walk in Fear!

Sometimes the fears that we pick up, and begin to live out, aren't even our own. It's so easy to internalize the hinderances and limitations that others may have taught you or placed on you. However, let's not forget that we have a choice.

Whatever the challenge is --whatever struggle, addiction, hiccup, or perception-- that seems to plague your mind, YOU HAVE DOMINION OVER IT!

Breaking the Cycles:

One way to break the unhealthy cycles in our life is to remember the value that acknowledgment brings.

We can't honor without true acknowledgment.

Be devoted to one another with [authentic] brotherly affection [as members of one family], GIVE PREFERENCE TO ONR ANOTHER IN HONOR;

Breaking the Cycles:
Dysfunctional Parental Relationships Pt. 2

A lot of the things we see going on in our communities, and world, stem from what is happening in individual families. How are we supposed to break the cycles of dysfunction?

Breaking the Cycles: Dysfunctional Parental Relationships

We know that Bible tells us to honor our parents that our days may be long upon the earth, but how do we honor dysfunctional parents?

The Word of God never leaves us void of wisdom.

Hey, fam! No Bible Study tonight.
Instead, we want you all to search your hearts and The Word of God about a difficult topic in our city: what does it mean to honor your father and mother?

What does honoring your parents look like to you? But, what if they're on drugs? What if they've been absent? What if they've been abusive? What if the relationship with them is unhealthy? What if...

As promised, as the Lord gives us grace, this season we're going to tackle some very difficult topics plaguing our community and generation. While we know that broken relationships aren't exclusive to Baltimore, we don't want to ignore real life issues that prevent many from receiving the help, healing, and hope available for them in Jesus.

May we continue gaining wisdom from the word of God to be the best disciples that we can be in our community.
