This is Kyle T. Heffner. I started this page so those of us who spent time upstairs on Robertson can share our experiences.

I was fresh out of college with a degree in theater in 1979 when a friend told me I should check out Sal’s class. I was stunned with the work. The class was packed. It was an eclectic group. Pl***oy Playmates, famous athletes and actor types. I did an intense six months the first round. 4 nights a week. 4-5 hours a night. Running lines at Winchell’s Doughnuts waiting for stage time . Nightcaps at Dan Tanas or a late meal at The Beverly Hills Cafe that used to be on Wilshire. Sal was like no other acting teacher. He was a 44 Magnum toting, huge Lincoln driving horse handicapping libertarian . His ability to shape a performance was stellar.
