Al-Sharif strongly condemns and denounces the insolent and disrespectful statements against the Messenger of Islam, Muhammad (pbuh) and his chaste wife and Mother of the Believers, Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, published on the Twitter page of the official spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party in India.

His statements reveal blatant ignorance of the history and the biography of the Prophets, who represent the highest pinnacles of morality, virtue and ethics, and who were protected by Allah Almighty from falling into vice or committing what pure souls reject.

Al-Azhar regards what this ignorant reckless person said about such great figures of humanity as an absurdity repeated from time to time only by those who harbor a grudge against Islam and Muslims. At the same time, Al-Azhar affirms that such behavior is real "terrorism", which can plunge the entire world into severe crises and deadly wars. Hence, the international community must confront the dangers of such reckless abusers with firmness, determination and strength.

Al-Azhar confirms that some political officials have recently resorted to insulting Islam and its honorable, chaste and pure Prophet (pbuh) to win voters’ support in party elections, and inflame the feelings of their followers against Muslims, which is an explicit call to extremism, hatred and sedition among followers of different religions and beliefs. Such is the behavior of advocates of extremism who call for the spread of hatred and sedition and who are enemies of dialogue between followers of different faiths, civilizations and cultures.

Al-Azhar reiterates that the civilized world today has to take a rigid stance against those who abuse religions and supreme human values for political gains.
