One of my favorite END-OF-YEAR activities for students who are promoting, graduating, moving on, etc. is called "The Film of Life."

Students have 22 'movie frames' to fill in with wonderful (and maybe not so wonderful) memories like losing a tooth, going on an airplane ride, winning an award, playing a sport… etc. All of these experiences have made your students the people they are today.

Endings sometimes bring a roller coaster of emotion. It is not easy leaving a place, leaving friends, graduating, and/or moving on to the next chapter…. Help them remember with a project they will keep forever.

Celebrate THANKSGIVING with a FUN rhyme-scheme lesson. Rhyme scheme describes the pattern of rhyming words at the end of a poem. This is a QUICK refresher on THREE different types of rhyme schemes: AABB, ABAB, and ABCB. It includes an 8-page PowerPoint complete with THANKSGIVING poetry examples. Teaching the 5 Jobs of a Noun to your Elementary, Middle, and High School language arts students allows them to more easily recognize the other parts of speech in sentences.
