A Happy and Healthy New Year to our PrimeTime Center families and friends.

08/05/2023

Dear PTC Participants, Families and Stakeholders,
As some of you may have heard by now, beginning July 1, 2023, I will be taking a new position as a senior administrator within the RKS schools. Although in this new position I will no longer be directly working with PrimeTime Center, due to the close connection of the schools and PTC, I will always make myself available for assistance with the PTC program whenever it is needed. I am extremely excited to announce that effective July 1, Blanche Stetler will be taking over as PrimeTime Center Director. Blanche has worked with PrimeTime Center since its inception in 2012 as our parent liaison. She has been the lifeblood of our organization and if not for Blanche’s initiative and commitment to the program, PrimeTime Center would not be the success that it is today. Both Blanche and I want to assure everyone that this transition will be seamless. Blanche and I have worked closely together for over a decade and there will be no unexpected changes to the PrimeTime Center program that everyone has come to know and love.
On a personal note, it has been an absolute pleasure working with the staff, participants, and families of the PrimeTime Center organization for the last 11 years. With the unwavering support of our owners, Ruth Reinhard and Jean Stack, the journey from opening a program with 2 participants and helping it grow to 200 participants has been life changing. There are so many people to thank that have helped along the way that I wouldn’t know where to begin. The hard work and dedication of all the PrimeTime Center staff throughout the years in developing a nurturing, community-based program in which individuals are able to make choices, develop their independence and live their lives to the fullest has been unparalleled. Moreover, I am extremely grateful for all of the cooperation, support and generosity of our PTC families over the years, especially throughout an unprecedented pandemic. The proverb “It takes a village” has never been more evident. And for our PTC participants I leave you with timeless words from Walt Disney, “All of our dreams can come true; if we have the courage to pursue them.”
If you have any questions about anything at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Blanche or myself at (888) 258-5271 or [email protected]. Thank you so much to my PTC family.
Sincerely,
Dave Mock

This is a reminder that all PTC locations will be having a 12pm dismissal this Friday, March 31st for a staff in-service. Please reach out to your transportation company to make sure that you have the correct pick-up time. If you will not be attending your program on that day, please reach out to your program supervisor. Thanks very much. Have a great day everyone!

27/03/2023

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I hope all of our PTC families are safe and well as we quickly approach Spring Break. Beginning Wednesday, March 29, PrimeTime Center will institute updated COVID 19 procedures based upon recent guidance from the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Although many of our procedures remain the same, the big change is that there will no longer be a daily Covid-19 screening form to complete and Primetime Center will no longer do regular temperature checks upon arrival.

Please remember that we still must keep our guard up, especially as the spring holidays approach and we spend more time with friends and family. PTC has been fortunate to be able to slowly return to some pre-pandemic activities and trips. The goal is to continue on that path moving forward. Please monitor for any symptoms and keep your participant home if called for. As always, we greatly appreciate your continued patience and cooperation. Have a wonderful and safe Spring Break!

Sincerely,
Dave Mock
PrimeTime Center Director

Happy New Year to all PrimeTime Center Families and Friends! All PTC locations will resume normal operating hours beginning Tuesday, January 3, 2023!

16/12/2022

Dear PrimeTime Center Families,
As the holidays draw near and I reflect upon this past year, I continue to be extremely grateful for all of the Primetime Center families that have shown incredible flexibility and unwavering commitment to our PrimeTime Center programs. As we approach Christmas and other beloved winter holidays under the threat of increasing COVID 19 and Flu activity, we request that everyone please do all they can to keep themselves healthy and safe. Although it is not mandatory at this time, we are asking all of our participants and staff to please wear a mask while indoors at our program, both the week leading up to our winter break as well as the week that we return. Last year at this time, under guidance from local health departments, all PrimeTime Center locations were compelled to shut down for a few weeks due to high rates of COVID infections. We desperately would like to avoid a repeat of what took place last year and sincerely ask that you follow this guidance.
Our last day of program for the 2022 year will be Friday, December 23rd. It is a half day session from 9a.m. to 12p.m. Anyone that will not be attending program on that day should please let their program supervisor know. PrimeTime Center will then be on winter break from Saturday, December 24th through Monday, January 2nd. We will return from our winter break on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2022. Please remember during this holiday season that we cannot yet let our guard down. We must continue to implement safety protocols as we continue to navigate these turbulent times.
Thank you for being part of the PTC family, for your patience and for safely finding joy in all there is to celebrate at this precious time of year. I’m hopeful for all the new and exciting things to come, and the memories we will make in 2023.
Sincerely,
Dave Mock

16/11/2022

Good Morning Everyone,
I hope all of our PTC families are safe and well as we quickly approach this holiday season. Beginning Wednesday, November 16th, PrimeTime Center will institute updated COVID 19 procedures based upon recent guidance from the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Although many of our procedures remain the same, below are some recent changes that we would like to highlight for everyone.

• There will no longer be a screening question regarding travel on our daily screening questionnaire and there will no longer be quarantines based upon a person’s travel.

• Regardless of vaccination status, asymptomatic PTC participants who report being a close contact with someone who has COVID 19, will no longer be restricted from program. Individuals that are close contacts will have to wear a well-fitting face mask while at day program and should get tested at least 5 days after their last close contact.

• Regardless of their vaccination status, if a PTC participant tests positive for COVID-19, they cannot return to program until:

- 10 days have passed for participants who are unable to consistently wear a well-fitting mask while at program or 5 days have passed for participants who are able to consistently wear a well-fitting face mask followed by an additional 5 days wearing a face mask while at program, &

-24 hours have passed since resolution of fever without the use of fever reducing medication, &

-Symptoms have improved

• All PTC participants testing positive for COVID 19 will be allowed to return to the program with a doctor’s note. The doctor’s note must include the date the individual was seen, the date they are able to return, and a statement about improvement of symptoms.

Please remember that we cannot yet let our guard down. We must continue to implement safety protocols especially as the winter months approach. As a reminder all PTC staff and participants should continue to wear masks while travelling in PTC vans, due to social distancing concerns as well as decreased ventilation during the winter months. In addition, any PTC participants that are immunocompromised or are at a high risk for severe illness due to COVID 19, are encouraged to speak with their healthcare provider to determine additional recommendations.

Thanks to everyone for being part of the PTC family, and for your patience during these challenging times. As always, we appreciate everyone’s support and cooperation.

Sincerely,
Dave Mock
PrimeTime Center Director

Dear PTC Participants and Families,
Due to a recent surge in COVID 19 cases at all three PrimeTime Center locations, as well as numerous PTC participants having to currently quarantine, we will be delaying the start of the updated PTC masking policy listed below. Please note that the updated masking policy will now go into effect beginning May 23, provided PTC cases and quarantines are down. Until then all PTC participants and staff should continue wearing masks while attending all PrimeTime Center locations. This was not an easy decision but as always, the health and safety of all individuals in our PTC family is paramount.

PTC Masking Update beginning May 23rd:
All PTC facilities located in counties with a low (green) COVID 19 Community Level will ensure that staff/participants wear a mask and socially distance based on their personal preference, informed by their personal level of risk. All PTC facilities located in counties with a moderate (yellow) COVID 19 Community Level will ensure that staff/participants who are immunocompromised or at a high risk for illness due to COVID 19 are encouraged to speak with their healthcare provider about taking additional precautions, such as wearing masks indoors and social distancing. At this level masking will continue to be voluntary. All PTC facilities located in counties with a high (orange) COVID 19 Community Level will ensure that all staff/participants, regardless of vaccination status, wear a well-fitting face mask indoors and socially distance from others. Staff/Participants who are immunocompromised or at a high risk for severe illness should wear a mask that provides them with the greatest protection as recommended by their healthcare professional.

Please be advised that although the masking policies in our facilities will be changing as of May 23rd, the masking policy on PrimeTime Center vehicles remains the same. All PTC staff/participants must continue to wear a well fitted face mask while travelling on PTC vehicles. PTC staff/participants also may still have to wear masks on certain community outings depending on the requirements of the destination. Since we anticipate increasing community outings as we move into the late spring, participants should continue to have their face masks on them in case they are needed.

Please note that no matter what level your county is in, anyone wishing to continue to wear a mask in any of our facilities may certainly do so. I want to assure everyone that PTC continues to take all concerns regarding the COVID 19 pandemic extremely seriously. We reserve the right to implement a more restrictive mask policy if we feel it would be best, in the interest of safety, for PTC participants and staff.

Thanks so much for your continued patience and support as we navigate from pandemic to endemic. Stay Well!!
Dave Mock

DDD/Medicaid approved day program – PrimeTime Center of NJ 01/04/2022

Dear PTC Participants and Families,
Following recent guidance from the Division of Developmental Disabilities and the Centers for Disease Control, PrimeTime Center has updated our COVID 19 policies/procedures. You can find the updated PTC COVID 19 Policy and Procedure Manual, as well as updated guidance from DDD, on the PrimeTime Center webpage www.primetimecenter.org. Please note that these new policies/procedures will go into effect beginning May 1, 2022.
Obviously the most anticipated change in our policies is in regard to masking/social distancing guidelines. Moving forward, Primetime Center’s masking/social distancing policies will be guided through regular monitoring of CDC COVID 19 Community Levels for the county in which our facilities are located.
Please be advised that although the masking policies in our facilities will be changing as of May 1st, the masking policy on PrimeTime Center vehicles remains the same.
Currently all PTC locations are in green which means the level of community spread is low.
Thanks so much for your continued patience and support as we navigate a new phase of this pandemic. Stay Well!!

Good Afternoon Everyone,
There have been many questions recently regarding the New Jersey school and childcare mask mandate that is being lifted this Monday, March 7th. Please be advised that this only applies to individuals in schools and day care settings. The masking guidelines under DDD have not been revised. All PTC staff and participants still need to adhere to the masking guidelines set forth by DDD until further notice. These guidelines can be found on our webpage www.primetimecenter.org. If and when there are any updates to DDD masking guidelines or any other Congregate Day Program COVID-19 operating requirements we will notify PTC families immediately. Thank you all for your anticipated cooperation and continued support.

DDD/Medicaid approved day program – PrimeTime Center of NJ 19/01/2022

Dear Participants and Caregivers,

Thank you so much for your continued patience throughout the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). We have been doing our very best to provide as safe an environment as possible while monitoring the current health situation as it has evolved within our business, our local communities and nationwide. Today, we are pleased to announce that all PrimeTime Center locations will re-open for in-person services beginning Monday, January 24th. All of our facilities have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized and we anxiously await everyone’s safe return to program. Thank you to everyone for their continued support over the last three weeks in helping us to safely offer services during these extremely uncertain times. Our last day of virtual lessons through Zoom will be Friday January 21st.

I would like to remind everyone that the PTC screening questionnaire needs to be completed every morning a participant plans on attending one of our centers. The questionnaire can be found on our website www.primetimecenter.org. If a participant has any of the symptoms listed in question 1, they should not come into PTC on that day. “In the past 24 hours, have you experienced any of the following symptoms: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.” The omicron variant continues to be the dominant strain in New Jersey and as we have seen over the past month, it is highly transmissible. It is very important that we continue to implement safety protocols like mask wearing, social distancing, hand hygiene and staying home if we are not feeling well. Any PTC participant arriving to program with COVID symptoms will be refused admission on that day.

I would also like to let everyone know that for the time being, community outings will be limited. When we send participants out into the community it is our job to make sure it’s safe to do so. With the entire state being in the VERY HIGH range on the NJ CALI report, the safety of our staff and participants will be given the highest priority.

If you do not feel it is safe to report back for in-person services on Monday, January 24th please reach out to your program supervisor by phone or email to let them know you are not comfortable returning at this time. You may also contact our Parent Liaison, Blanche Stetler, at (732) 822-3423. Also please keep in mind that due to Covid 19, any one of our programs may experience a temporary staffing shortage due to isolation/quarantines, which may cause us to temporarily modify our in-person schedule. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, we will review additional guidance as it is made available to us and will contact everyone with updated information and/or recommendations.

Sincerely,

Dave Mock

DDD/Medicaid approved day program – PrimeTime Center of NJ 12/01/2022

Dear Participants and Caregivers,

Thank you so much for your continued patience throughout the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). We have been doing our very best to provide as safe an environment as possible during our re-opening, while monitoring the current health situation as it has evolved within our business, our local communities and nationwide. Unfortunately, in light of the continuing high number of positive cases in New Jersey, as well as within our own centers, PrimeTime Center has decided to continue offering only virtual services through Friday, January 21st. We have set a new return date for in-person services for Monday, January 24th, if it is safe to do so. I’m sincerely asking all PTC families, at this very critical juncture, to please consider utilizing our virtual services.

When we do return for in-person services, I would like to remind everyone that the PTC screening questionnaire needs to be completed every morning a participant plans on attending one of our centers. 29/12/2021

Dear Participants and Caregivers,

Thank you for your continued patience throughout 2021 during the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). We have been doing our very best to provide as safe an environment as possible during our re-opening, while monitoring the current health situation as it has evolved within our business, our local communities and nationwide. Unfortunately, in light of the growing number of positive cases in New Jersey, as well as within our own centers, PrimeTime Center has decided to temporarily suspend our in-person services and return to virtual services for at least the first two weeks of January 2022. Please know that we have every intention of reopening for in-person services on Monday, January 17th if it is safe to do so.

Beginning Tuesday, January 4th, all PrimeTime Center locations will offer four 75-minute virtual lessons/activities throughout the day at the regularly scheduled times of 9am, 10:30am, 12:15pm and 1:45pm. Each class will be for a total of 5 units meaning if an individual wanted to attend all 4 classes on any given day, they would need 20 units in their plan. PTC will offer virtual classes on skills development which can include social skills, communication skills, health/safety skills, employment skills, choice making, functional language arts/math skills and activities of daily living. We will also offer virtual classes in regard to recreation and leisure including fitness classes, culinary arts, music and dance classes, arts & crafts, book clubs, scavenger hunts, current events and virtual field trips. We encourage individuals to reach out to their program supervisor with any ideas of interest for lesson topics.

Although we understand that virtual services may not be the preferred method of service delivery for all our participants, we feel at this time virtual services are the safest option for the staff and participants of PrimeTime Center. I’m sincerely asking all PTC families, at this very critical juncture, to please consider utilizing our virtual services. If you have any questions or concerns about utilizing PTC virtual services, please speak with your program supervisor. As in the past, we will be utilizing Google Classroom for our virtual classes. By Monday January 3 we will send out updated information on how to access these classes.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, we will review additional guidance as it is made available to us and will contact everyone with updated information and/or recommendations. As of now it is our intention to re-open all PTC locations on Monday, January 17th for in-person services. Please remember during this holiday season that we cannot yet let our guard down. We must continue to implement safety protocols like mask wearing, social distancing and hand hygiene. Should anyone from PTC test positive for COVID-19 during the winter break, please notify your program supervisor immediately. You may also contact our Parent Liaison Blanche Stetler at (732) 822-3423.

Sincerely,
