Students had a blast at the Winter Celebration today! We are so grateful to the volunteers who helped make today possible.
We enjoyed hot chocolate this afternoon while watching Hercules! Students noticed familiar concepts and terms from our Roman Civilization ELA unit as they watched.

If you hadn’t heard by now, last week’s assembly was awesome! Not only did Louie stop by to visit, but these two friends were recognized as students of the month for October and November. Way to go, Daris & Charlie!
Students worked collaboratively to tile various shapes. They then calculated the area and perimeter of each shape, and compared areas of different shapes.

Friday, we celebrated Bekir’s half birthday. Today, we celebrated Aubrey’s 9th birthday. It’s always fun celebrating one another! 🎉🎊
During ELA, students decoded and used hieroglyphics to communicate with others.
To conclude our ELA Unit on the human body systems, students worked collaboratively to create posters listing ways to take care of your body. The class also voted on one poster to display in the hallway, while remaining posters will be showcased in our classroom. 🧠🩻🫀
These florists used division to answer customers’ questions at Cup O’ Roses. 🌹➗

In science, students used weather patterns to determine whether certain foods can grow in Missouri.
On Thursday, students worked with their buddies to design costumes for their teachers to wear.
On Thursday, our class celebrated filling up our rice jar with Toy Time. Students brought in a favorite toy to show and share with the class. They were then given time to enjoy playing with their toys together. In addition to sharing, this celebration required students to practice their speaking and listening skills.
Congrats to Daris and Bekir who were recognized at our assembly last week for demonstrating great sportsmanship! 🎊🎉
