Homedale Middle School 8th Grade

End of Quarter 1 is this Thursday, October 12th. Make sure your student has all of his/her work turned in. Please contact teachers via email if you have any questions.

SCIENCE:
We have begun working on our final assessment this week. For this assessment students were given the choice between writing an essay, doing a presentation, or taking a test. The essay and presentations are due on Monday (12/19) and the test will also be on Monday. We will be spending plenty of class time working on this, but if students do not finish in class they will need to work on this at home over the weekend.

Friday School is this week. Buses will be running. If your student is in need of extra help or needs to improve their grades please send them to the Middle School on Friday morning.

English-We are in the middle of grammar test retakes. Students have until Dec. 20th to show mastery in the grammar concepts.

English-The final write up for Unit 1 is due Nov. 28th by 11:59 pm. The Venn diagram and final essay should be turned into Google classroom.

Science - Today we started our geologic timeline project. The table on page 2 and 3 of the packet needs to be completed before returning from break! Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns. Have a fantastic break!

English-I will be holding a study session this afternoon for anyone that would like to come in and get a little extra help before the test on Thursday.

We will be having a Grammar Test on November 10th. This will cover everything from nouns to progressive verbs. I will be having an after school study session Monday, November 7th.
