As a mom, partner, yoga teacher, and a caregiver (outside of instructing yoga, that's my job!), I spend A LOT of my time giving pieces of myself to other people.
I often forget to give back to myself, but as many have reminded me, you can't pour from an empty cup. One of my absolute favorite ways to carve some "me time" is grabbing a book and spending some time in the IR Sauna. Plus there are so many benefits outside of relaxation (boosting the immune system, improved heart health, and pain relief to name a few).
Regardless of what your preferred "me time" is, a reminder to carve out even just a few minutes a day because nobody can pour from an empty cup.

Hi! 👋 I'm Anisa and I wanted to share a little bit about myself. I'm a yogi, novice runner, at-home baker, cook, and mom, just to name a few things!
I have been a yoga practitioner for nearly 17 years, but I have been practicing with regularity for about 12 years. My first experience was in a gym group class and my practice has evolved from there. I moved on to yoga DVDs, YouTube Videos, small group classes, and on to regularly attending studios.
I have practiced yin, dabbled a little in ashtanga, but my ❤️ lies in a Vinyasa-style practice.
Kate Saal, founder of describes it as such: "Vinyasa, is a breath initiated practice, that connects every action of our life with the intention of moving towards what is sacred, or most important to us." The linking of breath and movement has helped to calm me, invigorate me, and center me on SO many occasions, and I hope as a yoga teacher, I can help others to experience the same.
