Hello, Classmates!!

The annual Christmas gathering will be celebrated on Saturday, December 2, at 1 pm! As last year, Joe Pat Hughes will host the group at his shop, 2939 Van Cleave Road.

The meal will be a FISH FRY, with fish, hush puppies, all the sides, and dessert for the very reasonable price of $20 per person! Hey, you don’t have to clean your house, pay for a venue, make a restaurant reservation, or cook anything yourself, so come enjoy the food and fellowship with your classmates you may not have seen for a while!

Condolences to the family of our beloved classmate Donna Lassiter Jackson. She was instrumental in the planning of our reunions and will be missed. She also regularly provided information for our page.

We are sad to send condolences to the family of our classmate, Joel Wayne Turner, 76 , of Hazel, KY, who passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Murray Calloway County Hospital, Murray, KY.

Born April 24, 1946, in Calloway County, he was the son of the late Gardie and Codell (Schroader) Turner. Wayne was a 1964 graduate of Calloway County High School. He worked for the Tappan stove plant in Murray and was a life-long to***co farmer.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Ray of Hazel, KY; grandchildren, Turner James “TJ” Ray of Memphis, TN and Amber Alexis Ray of Jackson, TN; and nephews James Turner, wife Lori of Coldwater, KY, Tim Alton, wife Johnda of Murray, KY and Hugh Alton of Hazel, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold A. Turner.

A private family graveside at the Murray Memorial Gardens.
