The goal of the LCHS staff is to have at least a 5:1 ratio of positive to negative referrals this school year.


At Lewis Central High School we have created a PBIS Matrix which acts as a guideline for Classroom Management. This matrix is personalized by department/ individual teachers to meet their classroom needs and teaches to the Matrix in their classes. This Matrix displays expectations of Respect, Responsibility, and Initiative in various areas such as conversation, help, movement, participation, and assignments. Students are held accountable for their actions when being taught the PBIS Matrix.


Did you know?

Last year (2017-18) teachers recognized over 7,000 situations when students demonstrated PBIS core values of Respect, Responsibility, and Initiative.


What is PBIS?
PBIS is a proactive strategy for defining, teaching and supporting student behavior resulting in academic and social gains and a positive school environment. The behavioral expectations of Lewis Central High School are Respect, Responsibility, and Initiative.
