UAFS Quidditch
Lions Quidditch works to bring the sport of Quidditch alive by representing the UA Fort Smith Campus in regular matches across the Southwest Region.
UAFS went IQA official in Fall 2012. Players regularly take on teams across the southwest in the sport of quidditch. With these games, players test stamina, skill, and mental abilities. Quidditch is a complex sport with twists, turns, and surprises around every corner, and Lions Quidditch is definitely not an exception. Current President: Mayra Duenas
Current Captain: Andi Duhon
2017 Lions Update:
Hello everyone! We are currently struggling to stay active. Our senior members have either graduated or become busy with their studies/work schedules and, consequently, we have no one to help lead the team.
However, this does not mean we are done! If you are a student interested in playing Quidditch please let us know! Our veteran Captain, Andi Duhon, will help the team form and provide guidance to any new members. Send us a message and we will work with you!
Stay fly, UAFS!
Happy Birthday to our captain, Andi Duhon! We love you and appreciate everything you do for us!
We are legit now! Look up the Quidditch in the dictionary before trying out the sport on Canpus! Our next practice will be this Sunday, 2-5!
We added 'quidditch' to the dictionary today! https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/quidditch
Come on down to Windgate tonight at 5 to party!
Quidditch will be there with our non-alcoholic butterbeer and a variety of games for you to try!
We made it! Your Lions Quidditch team is safe at home now, having just made it back from Knoxville! Now to sleep and get ready for the daily school grind on Monday!
We made 3rd place!!!
Final placements:
1 - inTENNsity
2 - Quidditch UTK ⚡️
3 - Lions Quidditch (UAFS Quidditch)
4 - Nox Quidditch (Nox Quidditch)
5 - Blue Thestrals (MTSU Quidditch)
And that's how you end a tournament! Lions Merc Squad ended the day with 2-wins and 2-losses! And we were extremely lucky to also be awarded the trophy for Best Sportsmanship!
Huge thank you to the Time Turners for hosting a fantastic tournament and to the many teams who loaned us players for our Merc team!
Now to shower, eat, and begin a long journey home!
Lions Merc Squad currently stands with one win, one loss! Both games were tough and close--but now for a small rest before going into our afternoon games!
Lions Quidditch managed to make it safe and sound to Knoxville last night! Now for the Rocky Top Rumble!
