Today was our Kid Buck Silent Auction. Students were excited to spend their money on various items.
Due to projected weather and rescheduled events, Fun with a Friend, which was scheduled for TOMORROW, Friday, May 10th, will be canceled. Because of the time of year, it will not be able to be rescheduled. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for understanding!

Today was a great day! Our students were so well behaved at the Science Museum! Thank you to all of the parents and chaperones who joined us today. We appreciate you!

These two ate lunch in the classroom last week. They discovered that their popcorn chicken looked like hearts.
Last week we reviewed lessons about money. Students were put in groups and had to plan a meal with a set amount of money, using supermarket ads.
Students completed their opinion papers and are “grading” each others work.
Yesterday our class was able to join a Zoom call with the Bullock Texas State History Museum for a distance learning program. We listened to a fractured fairy tale called, Bubba the Cowboy Prince.
Our Proud Panthers from the month of March know how to go above and beyond by helping their teachers and classmates. 🤗 We are proud of them for giving of themselves to make sure that others feel cared about and noticed. 👏🎉

Due to the forecasted winter storm the Prairie Farm School District will be closed Monday, March 25th. All after school and evening activities will be canceled.

March 6th was National Oreo Day! We celebrated by eating regular Oreos and trying Birthday Cake Oreos.
Students made salt dough and created landforms.

Wyatt L’s Flat Stanley came to visit our classroom today! (Wyatt was a student at Prairie Farm, but moved before 2nd grade).
Today we ate pickles and egg salad sandwiches as we watched Because of Winn-Dixie. Yesterday we ate peanut butter sandwiches and strawberry candies.
If you have extra sugar, our class could use it for our project on Friday. Please send it in tomorrow.

We have been learning about deserts and how many types of cacti there are. Today’s assignment was to make a cactus out of Playdoh!
