We've been getting a lot of comments critiquing Gender Open Parenting. We won't be responding to them here, but will continue to update responses to critiques on our website here: https://www.theybyparenting.com/faq
For those who are worried about our children, you should know that the older children who have been raised gender open, are strong, confident, well adjusted people who've been raised with love and openness. I would encourage you to spend a little less time critiquing other people's parenting, and more focus on bringing time, love and attention to your own children and/or families.

Our amazing gender open parenting community member Ari Not Sorry has had the opportunity to share about their decision and experience using 'they/them' pronouns and not assigning a s*x/gender for their kiddo Sparrow. Ari did an incredible job explaining more about gender open parenting so feel free to watch the short or long video (posted below) to learn more about how one family is doing Gender Open Parenting. (And feel free to show Ari and their family some much needed love in the comments!) https://on.wtsp.com/2GiuwTn

Be in our book, change the world!
Part guidebook, part commentary, our book will address the increasing popularity of Gender Open Parenting, featuring academic scholarship alongside advice, reflections, and tales of love by families forging gender open parenting frameworks. While we anticipate a majority of the personal reflections will be from parents, we welcome any accounts of those directly involved in or supporting families, where one of the children uses they/them from birth.

Today we remember the people who we have lost to violence. Many folks in the community are trans and/or have been affected directly or indirectly by violence against trans people. Today marks a day to remember those we lost, think about those we love, and wish for a safe place for all trans and gender diverse people, young and old.

Theyby Parenting is a website started by a group of parents committed to letting our children be themselves by not assigning a s*x/gender at birth and using they/them pronouns from birth until they self-determine their own gender. What started as a Facebook group in 2015 with 7 parents, quickly escalated into an online network of hundreds of parents committed to raising our children in a gender open framework. These children have lovingly been nicknamed 'theybies'. This website has been created to provide more information to those interested in learning about gender open parenting and to provide resources for parents, families and educators.
