FDMS Class of 1965

After a wonderful Christmas Luncheon at Lonestar, the FDMS class of 1965 looks forward to continuing its comradery in 2019. We will continue to have our monthly luncheons as we stay in touch and maintain our close friendships.

To the class of FDMS 1965, I extend a heartfelt Happy New Years greeting. May 2019 bring you happiness, joy and prosperity.

Monthly Luncheon - FDMS Class of 1965 at the Terraza Restaurant, Two Lovers Point.

The FDMS Class of 1965 met for its Thanksgiving Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at the Churassco Restaurant. 13 FD Brothers came and enjoyed a great lunch and of course the comradery of each others company.

It was a most memoriable evening for the FDMS Class of 1965. We played our final game (The Legacy Game) beating the class of 1974 by a single point 44 -43. Having won our previous game, we became the first Grand Masters Champions. It was a very good turn out with the crowd fully routing for us for which we were very appreciative of. It was especially gratifying to have Mr. John Forbes join us in our group picture. He clearly was our most influencial guiding force as FDMS students. Recognition and thanks also has to be given to Andy Cristobal (Class of 1964) who joined and became a part of our team.

The FDMS Class of 1965 will attend its 50th Reunion Mass at the Boys's Chapel on the Father Duenas Campus. As many classmates on island are expected to attend which hopefully will be a good number. The mass will be celebrated by Msgr. David Quitugua, as the main celebrate and concelebrated by Fr. Jeff San Nicolas, Prinicpal of Father Duenas and Fr. Efren, the school's chaplain. We thank God for allowing many of us to be present and to come together in spirit and unity. Fortes in Fidel.

The FDMS Class of 1965 had its monthly luncheon meeting on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, which also happened to be Ash Wednesday. A good turn out of 14 fellow classmates attended which included: John Salas, Joseph Perez, Tommy Torres, Victor Perez, Frank Cruz, Danny Anderson, Kin Mafnas, Diego Mendiola, Vince Pereda, Joe McDonald, Ivan Quinata, John Rojas, Alvin Gumataotao and Peter Roy Martinez. In addition to having a meatless lunch for the most part, fellow brothers shared among each other what's been happening in their lives and generally just catching up. Classmates also recognized and thought about our classmate Pete Torres who is reported to be in a coma and in serious condition. We all pray that the Lord decides best for him.

Classmates at today's luncheon were also able to contribute to the onging FDMS endowment fund and will make its annual contribution of $1000.00 this June to our Alma Mater. John Salas related to the guys that our class is the only one that has continually met monthly for the past several years. So in this regard, we have every reason to be proud of ourselves.

Our next monthly luncheon will be on March 18th and suggestions are being accepted for our next venur.
