The FSBA/FADSS Summer Conference is a wrap. Sure want to thank Mrs. Sherrie Raulerson, Supt from Baker County, for her tremendous leadership serving as President of FADSS this year. She is a strong Christian leader that loves the Lord, loves children, loves educators, and is a dear friend. Thank you for devoting your life in service to others! You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten!

Such beautiful graduations over the past several days! Congratulations, Class of 2024! You have worked hard and accomplished much!!!

So thankful for the brave men and women that sacrificed so much for our country!

On this Memorial Day, let us pause to honor and remember the women and men who wore the uniform of this great nation and gave the "last full measure of devotion," sacrificing their lives so that we may remain the land of the free and the home of the brave.

So nice to have students at the District Office today! Congratulations HVS Class of 2024!

Law Day 2024 was a beautiful celebration! Florida Supreme Court Justice, the Honorable Meredith Sasso spoke on the theme of “Voices of Democracy” and LPHS student, Iris Munoz Francisco was the recipient of the Janette Branham Scholarship. Congratulations, Iris!

Thank you Avon Park Noon Rotary for the invitation to share about the Athletic Task Force Committee and the exciting projects across our district. Great to have our Senior athletes, Principal, Mrs. Edsall and coaches join the meeting as well!

Papa had some great help tonight! Thank you, Easton Ray!

As we wrap up this week for Teacher Appreciation, I just want to say again how thankful I am for every educator in Highlands County! You are empowering student success each and every day!!! Thank you for serving our students and families so extraordinarily well!!!

Tonight SFSC held their 2024 Commencement Ceremonies! What a great celebration for many of our students! All 3 high schools had students graduating with their AA degree tonight! Congratulations, Seniors!

So proud of our students participating in our Project Search program at Advent Hospital. Life changing experiences are happening for our students! Thank you Advent Hospital, ARC, and Voc Rehab for such an amazing partnership with SBHC!

APHS FFA Banquet was a great success!! So many students accomplishing great things at the local and state level! Another night filled with great community support as well!

So fortunate to live in a community that recognizes the National Day of Prayer so beautifully! Students and staff gathered at the flagpole at school and district campuses across our community to pray. Community members gathered together at the Courthouse for a wonderful program led by our Constitutional Officers, pastors, and musicians. A prayer luncheon sponsored by the Kiwanis followed this community event! Many more prayer events taking place across our county! So thankful to live in Highlands! We are blessed!

What a wonderful evening to celebrate SHS students at the Senior Awards Ceremony! Over $350,000.00 of scholarships given tonight. Thank you community for your outpouring of support you provide our students! Congratulations, Seniors!

So very thankful for the incredible school principals that serve our students and families! Please help me in thanking each one of them for their tireless service!

What an exciting Project Search Signing Day for students at all 3 high schools! So proud of our brave and courageous students and the partnership with Advent Health, ARC, and Vocational Rehab. These opportunities will be life changing!

What a wonderful Senior Awards night at APHS! So many outstanding students received scholarships! Thank you community for your commitment to our students!

Last week was my last Superintendent Student Council meeting for this year. What an outstanding group of student leaders! Can’t wait to see what your future holds!
