I am grateful to God that I have met such wonderful storytellers within a few years . Each one of them are unique and there is so much to learn from each other . A big shout out to all of you for your individual styles of storytelling and your ability to evoke emotions in the child . It is helping us to build a community of stories around us and create awareness.
The best part is the active participation of the adorable children of all groups . It’s a magical feeling to answer their queries and interact with them .It’s heartening to know that many children love to read books and has become a habit for them . They are building their own library at home and share books with their friends . They maintain a diary to record the dates they purchased the books . Parents and teachers thanks for your efforts. Keep igniting the spark of storytelling .
As storytellers let us build bridges between generations and cultures .

Emotions play a vital role in a child’s life . I have seen my grandchildren react to emotions from such a tender age . We as parents , grandparents, elders n teachers are here to make them feel secured and safe . These two books emote feelings beautifully and boost confidence. A must read book for children ! Keep watching my read aloud sessions .

It was highly inspiring meeting the renowned author , writer , storyteller , a multifaceted, talented person and a cancer warrior Ramendra Kumar and his lovely family at his residence in Bengaluru. He had shared his journey of surviving the big C and what he had gone through. Both my husband and myself had a wonderful evening with them . I had met him online during a storytelling session . He has always encouraged me in this field which means a lot ! I was delighted when he had asked me to narrate one of his stories . His story books are relatable and children love to read as the language is easy to understand. It was so nice of him to give us some of his autographed books . Wishing him good health and happiness as always !

Visited Sir C V Raman’s residence yesterday which was open to the public for only two days . Sharing a few pics with all .

This was a unique experience, thanks to Nazmi for letting us know about the art exhibition that was there for only two days. The paintings were introduced poetically by the founder director of Kynkyni from Bangaluru. You will get to know from the attached information.
The venue , Sir C.V.Raman’s 2.5 acres sprawling residence came as a big and pleasant surprise for us. The remnants of those golden moments , the old books in the wooden almirahs, the study table and chair , the huge gramophone , the piano shaped study table and the Tanpura took us back to the Noble laureate’s glorious past. Besides his scientific books there were copies of the Mahabharata and the Ramayana and many more of different tastes. Great that we could visit this temple , the abode of of a world-class scientist .
However, the society , the institutions like the IISC and the Government should do do much more to maintain this house properly , both to honour him and also making it a tourist destination.

Finally visited ’Kathalaya’in Bangalore . A place I always wanted to visit . Was a little sad as I couldn’t meet the renowned Storyteller Geeta Ramanujam ma’am .
I saw Geeta ma’am’s face book post and was delighted to see that Savitha Satya ,the wonderful storyteller cm chef would present a story with some yummy flameless cooking .It was a pleasure to listen to a sweet and simple story narrated with handmade puppets (best out of waste). It was lovely listening to the way she took us along her story with voice modulation . There was active participation by the children present . It was lovely meeting her , such a loving and humble lady . So much to learn from such talented storytellers. Love and regards .

Felt awesome to host the Christmas programme for the evening organised by CWMA Season 3 2023 . It’s always a pleasure to brighten up the Christmas spirit with eminent guest speakers across the globe from Italy , Romania, London and Sri Lanka who shared their thoughts on the essence of Christmas . It felt marvellous to interact with them . We had some talented children also who sang Christmas carols , played carols on the keyboard and guitar . They shared some memorable incidents related to Christmas . I interacted with them and asked them some questions about Santa . Tony Cranston we missed you this season .
