The Elyria The Elyria West Alumni Nite 18.0, Plan B is less than a month away. There is no cover charge to enter. there will be a cash bar for your favorite adult beverages, DJ, 50/50 raffle, along with memorabilia & basket raffles. If you want to eat, there will be pulled pork & BBQ chicken with sides, soft drinks & water for $25 per person. The deadline for the food tickets is August 8th. Tickets can be purchased at this site

Change of date announcement to align with the new reunion date of August 10th — but it’s on 😎. The first Annual Elyria West High Scholarship Fund Golf Outing will be held the morning of Saturday, August 10th at Valley of the Eagles Golf Course. First tee time will start at 8:40am and end at 10:30am We have room for 12 teams for this inaugural outing. The format will be a scramble with Mulligans available for purchase at the course. There will be prizes for top place teams. The entry fee is $95 per person with some proceeds going to the Elyria West Scholarship Fund. In our first year of existence, we are awarding 2 -$1K scholarships this year to descendants of West High and we’d like to do more for descendants of faculty, staff, and students ❤️. First 12 teams to contact me at [email protected] or Jim Smola at [email protected] will be in. Any questions please contact us as well. If you’d like to reconnect for a fun day of golf with fellow classmates and teachers — this will be a great day of fun, fellowship, and a small amount of fundraising for a great cause.

Fellow Wolverines, as part
of our annual “Wolverine Weekend”, the first weekend in August coinciding with Quaker State night, we’ll be a holding Scramble Golf Outing Saturday morning August 3rd to benefit the Elyria West High Alumni Scholarship Fund. Location and details will be forthcoming.

It will be a chance to put together a foursome and yuk it up for the day with classmates and friends to benefit descendants of West High as a warm up to the Annual Event at Quaker State.

In the Scholarship program’s first year of existence, we’ll be awarding two $1K scholarships to a couple of deserving West High descendants and we’d like to provide more support — hence the fundraiser. You don’t have to be a great golfer — just have some clubs and want to have some fun. If you’d like to keep the West High spirit alive, think about putting a foursome together this inaugural outing 🙂.

We have lost another one😢 Gilbert Glass passed away yesterday. RIP Gilbert.

Wesley Roush, passed away last night. He had a massive heart attack. No further info. Such a great man! We will miss him at our August reunions!

Daryl McCloud, class of 1978 passed away on Tuesday of this week in Texas after a 3 year battle with cancer. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

We lost Robert Huff on February 17, 2022. May he Rest In Peace. Please pray for his family during this difficult time.
