Congratulations to PA Lions Band Committee Chair Vince LoRusso! On Saturday, May 18, 2024 Lions International President Dr. Patti Hill presented him with the International Leadership Award, the 3rd highest award in Lionism.
Pennsylvania Lions All-State Band
The Pennsylvania Lions All-State Band offers high school musicians the opportunity to perform with their peers in regular state and international tours.
The Pennsylvania Lions All-State Band provides opportunities for high-school age musicians across Pennsylvania to come together for musical growth and performance experience. The ensemble encourages participants to learn more about themselves and each other through rehearsals as well as travel and touring to locations in Pennsylvania and internationally.

Applications for the 2024 Pennsylvania Lions All-State Band are now open! This year's band will perform at the 2024 Lions State Convention at the Red Lion Inn and Convention Center in Harrisburg, PA, May 17 & 18. Participation in the band is provided at no cost for students.

Each year, Lions from as many as 130 countries participate in the annual procession on the second day of the convention, a tradition dating back to the early 1920s. The parade is an opportunity for Lions to display their enthusiasm for the association and their national heritage. Many Lions don traditional dress, colors or costumes representing their native lands for the march. They carry their countries’ flags with pride and sometimes sing and dance along the route, as well.
Each year, our All-State Band leads the Pennsylvania Delegation in this Parade, featuring over 15,000 participants!
This year's Parade of Nations will be held on Saturday July 8th in downtown Boston!

Registration for the Summer 2023 Pennsylvania Lions All-State Band International Convention Tour is now open! Applications for the 2023 band are accepted on a rolling basis.
Students will spend three days in Residency at the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College in preparation for a six-day performance tour to the Lions Clubs International Convention in Boston, Massachusetts. Students will have opportunities in Concert Band, Marching Band, and Jazz Ensemble.

We are excited to announce that applications for the State and International Convention are OPEN!
This year, the State Convention will be held on May 19-20 in Indiana, PA. This event is free of charge to students through the generosity of the PA Lions!
This summer, it is the return of the International Convention trip!!! This year, the band will travel to Boston, MA after our camp at Gettysburg College. This trip cost is $895 for students.

Alright Dr. McCutcheon! 🎼🎹🎺🎻
131 ensembles! Dr. Russell McCutcheon and Dr. Steve Marx were honored to serve as adjudicators for Music in the Parks this spring.
Music In The Parks is an educationally-focused music festival that provides school performing ensembles the opportunity to learn from exceptional conductors in the field of music education today.
Dr. McCutcheon provided feedback to 77 ensembles across 8 festivals; Dr. Marx did the same for 54 ensembles across 5 festivals. Both were excited to hear so many outstanding high school and middle school wind bands, orchestras, jazz ensembles, and even a percussion ensemble!
