Here is a glimpse into Mrs. Heidemann’s 5th Grade Homeroom in Music class this week! We are working on gaining confidence in sight singing using the solfège syllables and hand signs. The students are growing in their skills every day and they make me so proud!

Narrowing down 243 applications to 20 was a really challenging endeavor but I am confident these students will shine! Congratulations to the accepted students who will attend the South Central Iowa Choral Directors Association’s 5th and 6th Grade Honor Choirs! These students will represent well on April 10th, 2025!

Sawyer F. was our big winner of the 2024 Mrs. Augustine’s Face Showdown!! She received the most votes (53) across all of our DCG MS Music platforms! Congratulations Sawyer!

Both 6th grade Choirs had the chance to sing for the residents at Spurgeon Manor yesterday and today. We were honored to have them sing for us, too!! We love partnering with the community in Dallas Center to spread the joy of music to all!!

We are so proud of the 5th Grade Red Band and White Choir and the 5th Grade White Band and Red Choirs for their first concerts last night! Bravo, students, for your hard work and energy!!
