We're getting into contest and musical season. It's going to be busy. Parents please encourage your kiddos to practice, practice, practice. Most of their songs have recordings on Google Classroom.
Combine MMS and MHS Choir Concert will be December 14 @ 7 pm at the Multi-Purpose Facility at the High School. Student call time is 6:15 in the HS Choir Room (the room by the giant treble clef sign) on the west end of the High School. HS students wear choir uniforms with BLACK shoes. 6th Grade wear solid-colored pants, comfortable shoes, and change into choir t-shirt at school. 7/8 Choir wear black pants and black shoes, change into purple dress shirt at school. Email Mrs. Glass with questions.

Due to the tornado damage in Shawnee, the State Solo & Ensemble Contest has been postponed (or possibly cancelled). They are in the early stages of searching for a place/time to host it and will let us know as soon as they can.

I must say that while cell phones are cursed distraction in class, they are perfect for the choir bus when they need rest their voices 🤭
If you haven't heard yet......... Middle School Treble Choir made a Superior at contest yesterday! Woo Hoo MS! The High School received a Good rating - they did a great job at prepping for contest this year and learning how to sight-read better. Our ratings don't reflect all the accomplishments they've made this year and the adversity they have had to overcome to get there. I am VEEERRRY proud of them!
REMINDERS: HS Choir Fee is $20 and MS Choir Fee is $10. In addition to that, all OSSAA sanctioned activities for incoming 7-12 graders at Mannford Public Schools must submit completed paperwork and $20.00 activity fee for participation in athletics, band, choir, cheer, speech/debate, academic team, and parking passes at MHS. Paperwork and fees must be submitted prior to participation in the first day of practice/rehearsal. You may pick up and return the paperwork to the High School or Middle School office and pay the activity fee there as well.

MHS Choir/Drama Amazon Wishlist....
Great day with the Leadership Team getting our room cleaned up and ready for a new year! They worked hard today (there was alot of music filing), listened to music for upcoming concerts, changed bulletin boards, cleaned out music folders and put new music in, inventoried uniforms. We had some fun just getting back in touch again and some yummy lunch at Steer Inn. Bring on 22-23!

The Madrigal Dinner Show for this Friday has been cancelled. The students will be performing that music at their Spring Concert and Awards night on May 5 at 7 pm in the MPF.
