Saw this and smiled.... remember whether you are a teacher, parent, grandparent, IT technician, nutritionalist, counsellor, cleaner, judge, curriculum expert, child minder, society-saving-superhero (one netflix movie at a time!), homebound, isolated, or a big motley mix of the above- you’re doing great! It will be ok!

Beyond the classroom, beyond the school gates, the future beckons. It's here. A shift in the narrative of what education was, has arrived kicking and screaming into every community, of almost every country in the world. The four walls of the classroom have simultaneously crumbled and expanded. Education is now more than it was, in so many ways. A family experience, a shared responsibility and overwhelming to many. Teachers, schools, parents, communities and, most importantly students, will be expected to step up to the plate to work cohesively.

Creating a new narrative about HOW students can learn, HOW teachers can teach and WHAT parents can learn about themselves as cheerleaders for their child’s education.
Creativity is our current teaching superpower to try to reach and support as many students as we can. What we create in these weeks and months is going to be truly priceless.

Be kind, give yourselves and others grace, and remember this too shall pass!

This really resonated this week!

We are still working on getting the videos for teachers and classes filmed, edited and emailed out to teachers! Getting housebound toddlers to cooperate with this process is like wrangling wet piglets! But we have started uploading some fun ‘exploring sounds’ videos that we had finished. This one is the ‘Ss’ sound.

I read... then re-read.... then read parts of it again! I had to share... I think we all either know someone who needs to read this right now or we are that person!

Ok amazing teachers.... lets ramp this up a bit! We have over 200 emails from you all in just the first few hours which is great!! We can’t wait to create some videos this weekend to email to you.... but we will never be able to edit that many individual names..... so we have an idea! We will also (when we get a chance in the next few weeks...) make another video where Geraldine will go looking for something.... Among all of you!
So if you want your photo to be one of the teachers, schools or classroom that she checks out, as she ‘searches’ - send through a pic via messenger or our email address on the page of yourself, your school, class pet, your classroom OR your children/ child (please make sure you have appropriate permissions if it includes children’s faces).
