Well here is some nice news. This student got a 1460 on his SAT and his mom sent this to me on the same day the scores came out.

So I have honestly been laying off the SAT/ACT stuff because I have not wanted to stress my students out any more than they already have been by...you know (gestures broadly at everything)

But, as the tests and college admissions in general start to show up in the news every day, I am HAPPY to lend my expertise to anyone who is having anxiety around all this. OF COURSE there will be a podcast episode about it, but I'd also for sure hold a Zoom thing or whatever and invite people, besides myself, who know stuff about college admissions.

If you have not heard, College Board just cancelled the May administration of the SAT. https://pages.collegeboard.org/natural-disasters

In addition, the April ACT has been rescheduled to June 13. https://www.act.org/content/act/en/covid-19.html

There is no word yet as to the rescheduling of the May SAT.

This is annoying, but I promise you the tests will be back as soon as they are able to be, so it doesn't mean you shouldn't be getting ready!
