Commercial manure applicator sent me this pic of a manure pond last month. Once he put his Bazooka boat in for a few hours the pond looked ready to be emptied.

Slurry from a dairy farm being applied to a silage stubble field. The field was then tilled to incorporate the manure and a feed crop planted to be harvested in 2025. The cereal rye or triticale crop will capture the available nitrogen in the dairy manure as it grows.

Bob Brown doing a nice job of applying swine finishing manure to his field. This is one of the three application toolbars Ohio State University has available for farmers to borrow. The toolbars are showing their age and use in that they frequently need repairs.

Caught up with Walter Manders applying dairy manure to a field. You can see the driver exit his vehicle and operate the manure transfer arm.

Last week I saw this 360 rain unit running at the Van Ham Dairy. Not sure of the crop was cereal rye or triticale but the field had a very good stand and the dairy manure being applied would be put to good use. Always great to see manure being applied to a growing crop.
