Career Week? I wish I had a week-long career-focused learning event when I was in high school! Not only does it provide a learning experience outside the classroom, it helps students gain access to real-world professionals and get ideas about future career, even if there are lots of questions surrounding that topic in high school, when you’re more worried about passing the SATs and college apps.
It was an honor and pleasure to share The Knock Method℠ with the entire student body (100 students) at The Wolcott School in Chicago during their Career Week! Why did I take the method there? One of the interviews from my book (in the works!), and real professional stories that serves to inspire and instill confidence in The Knock Method℠ participants, comes from Jeff Aeder and Jennifer Levine, founders of The Wolcott School, a college prep high school built around students’ strengths.
Why? Because Jeff and Jennifer had to establish a solid network of quality relationships along their lifetime and career that they tapped into when they sought to secure funding to build the school.
Jeff shared their story about how they build the school through building and nurturing quality and positive relationships during the presentation.
