At Ôi Trời Ơi, free lessons on Vietnamese grammar and vocabulary are offered twice a week. Learners can use this site as a self-study material or resource to guide them on their Vietnamese journey. Please note that lessons on pronunciation, speaking, and listening are not provided on this page due to impracticability and limited resources.

Grammar points are structured and presented in the order from the most basic components (letters, diacritics, and words) to more complex elements (phrases, clauses, and sentences). Each topic will have an overview and then advance into a more in-depth analysis. Some learners might find this a bit academic; however, it can help you to organise what you are about to learn and what you have already known.

Meanwhile, vocabulary posts are designed to help you increase your lexical resources. Every words are carefully chosen based on their frequency and relevancy to the Vietnamese culture. In every lesson, beginners can learn the most essential words at the top, and advance learners can expand their vocabulary using the terms introduced at the bottom. Collocations, etymology, tips and other notations are also provided to deepen the learners’ understanding of the language.

There is also a group called Learn Vietnamese with Ôi Trời Ơi (link: bit.ly/LearnVietnamesewithOiTroiOi) where you can post any Vietnamese-related questions to have them answered or participate in additional exercises to facilitate and reinforce your Vietnamese skills.
