On Sunday, October 13th, the Washington D.C. ASEZ members hosted Rachel Bowen Pittman of the United Nations Association-USA and Darnelly De Jesus of the U.S. Secret Service for a panel on youth engagement and SDGs. Both panelists shared their personal stories of how they overcame obstacles in their respective careers. The event supported UN SDG #17: Partnership for the Goals and is a part of the Future Leader Series which connects students with subject matter experts in various career fields.

🌍✨ On August 4th, 2024, over 150 volunteers from ASEZ gathered at Delthorne Park in Torrance, CA, to breathe new life into the community! This remarkable cleanup was part of the 8,512th worldwide campaign by the World Mission Society Church of God, aligning with Earth Recovery Day and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
With dedication and teamwork, our volunteers transformed the park by picking up trash, removing weeds, and restoring the pond for the first time in years! Their efforts earned a Certificate of Appreciation from Mayor George Chen, highlighting the impact of community service.

🌍 **ASEZ University Students Unite to Clean Up Webster Avenue!** 🌱
On **September 22, 2024**, 68 amazing volunteers came together for a street cleanup on **Webster Avenue** as part of ASEZ’s "Save the Earth from A to Z" campaign. This global environmental initiative is led by student volunteers from the **World Mission Society Church of God**.
This event in the Bronx was extra special because it supported the **Reduce Crime Campaign**, which focuses on creating safer communities by keeping neighborhoods clean and beautiful. 🌟
Students from **Monroe College, Lehman College, Baruch College, Bronx Community College, Westchester Community College, FIT**, and **Mercy University** teamed up to collect **74 bags of trash**, showing the huge impact that young people can make on environmental and social issues alike. 💪
Studies show that clean, well-maintained spaces can help lower crime rates—and this event is a perfect example of how local action can drive positive change! 🗑️✨

On Sunday, June 30th, the Washington D.C. ASEZ members hosted esteemed physicians from the DMV to discuss the looming shortage of medical professionals. The panelists came from a variety of institutions including John Hopkins, Georgetown University, and Inova Hospital. After the informative discussion, the panelists answered questions from aspiring medical students in breakout sessions. The event supported UN SDG #3: Good Health and Wellbeing and is a part of the Future Leader Series which connects students with subject matter experts in various career fields.

Volunteers lead successful clean-up campaign in Winton | Salford Now The ASEZ volunteer group gathered 45 bags of waste in the Winton area in a clean up event over the weekend.
🌍💪 On January 22, ASEZ members from Korea joined forces with local Church of God members in Suva, Fiji, for impactful street and beach cleanups. 🇫🇯🗑️ They removed plastic waste and debris near the Raiwaqa Police Station, and later tackled coastal cleanup at Nasese Beach, collecting tires and coconut shells. This effort, highlighted on Fiji TV, received praise for significantly improving the local environment. 🌿👏

Pelton Park in Yonkers, NY saw a remarkable transformation on Earth Day, April 21, 2024, thanks to ASEZ University student volunteers from various colleges. With 37 students leading the charge, they collected 30 bags of trash, restoring the park to its former glory. Nader Sayegh, New York State Assemblyman, Yonkers commended their dedication, awarding 3 citations for their service. This youth-driven initiative exemplifies the power of community action in creating positive change.
