Nicole Sturges, SAC Co-Chair and Assistant Director of the Center for Survey Research, was part of a panel during Penn State Harrisburg's annual Research & Discovery Day. The panel focused on the impacts of natural hazards, such as flooding, and the importance of preparedness, risk mitigation, and building more resilient communities.

PA State Data Center director receives Gustafson Award Jennifer Shultz, director of the Pennsylvania State Data Center within Penn State Harrisburg’s Institute of State and Regional Affairs, has been honored with the Gustafson Award in recognition of her contributions to the State Data Center program.

Congratulations to Dr. Laura Ramp who was nominated for the "We Are" feature this week for Penn State. Her nominator wrote: “Laura is a great colleague and goes above and beyond to support faculty, students and staff. When we were left in a bind two semesters in a row with emergency medical leaves, Dr. Ramp found a solution to meet faculty and student needs each semester. Laura is an asset to students and faculty alike.”

Mission
The Penn State Harrisburg Staff Advisory Council (“Council”), shall exist to support the College and University Mission. The aim of the Council is to enhance and solidify the partnership between the staff and the administration of the college. The Council will provide effective communication with exempt and nonexempt staff regarding suggestions, review, and advice on issues that are important to the staff and college. The Council acts in an advisory capacity to the Chancellor.
