Last term we learnt about space and Christmas 😊 we also explored different festivals and special days like Diwali and Remembrance Day ❤️ we did this through themed toys, arts and crafts books, talking and our role-play area 😊 we also enjoyed welcoming new children to our setting 😊❤️

MUSICAL BEATS
we enjoyed learning about different beats, movement and rhythm through playing different instruments, singing songs and dancing 😊 the children also enjoyed expanding their vocabulary with singing the songs and growing in confidence to join in and choose the songs they would like to sing as well as practicing their counting skills 😊😊

OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
we enjoyed exploring the village by going on walks, visiting the memorial for Remembrance Day, going on a walk with the doggie and visiting the park 😊😊

DISCOVERY TIME
We had lots of fun in discovery time learning about mixing colours with oil paints, exploring shaving foam, looking at space books and decorating Diwali pictures 😊😊

In the summer term we had lots of fun playing in our new role-play area ‘jungle kidz bakery’ we also enjoyed our new toys and doing lots of crafts and cooking 😊 we had lots fun celebrating the king’s coronation 😊 we loved playing in the garden and exploring the new toys 😊 we also had fun learning and exploring our set themed mornings:

LANGUAGE AND LITERACY
we had lots of fun reading different stories, practicing our phonic letters and sounds, practicing our writing skills as well as writing our own jungle kidz story together 😊

MUSICAL BEATS
we had an amazing time practicing our motor skills with dancing to different kinds of music like Irish music and the action songs we also had fun choosing what we would like to sing using the song cards and song sack as well as lots of singing with the musical instruments 😊

THE WORLD OF FOOD
This term we have had lots fun learning about where different food come from the life cycle of goods and how we can use them 😊 we have also had lots fun learning about herbs and spices and really loved helping to set up the new green house planting herbs, spices, salads, fruit and vegetables and looking after them watching how they grow 😊

OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
This term we have had lots of fun exploring the different parks in the village practicing our physical skills like balancing, jumping, climbing……. We also had fun exploring the river looking for fish, racing sticks and leaves as well as looking for bugs in the bug hotels 😊 we loved going for a walk and having a picnic snack with a story as well as checking on how the fruit and vegetables were growing 😊

This term we have focused on our two new morning activities

our two normal activities and festivals 😊 we have done this through crafts, cooking, looking at books, watching videos, games and toys 😊 we also really enjoyed helping to raise money for comic relief through doing a sponsored party, walk and catching a ballon 😊 The children managed to beat their target of £50 and raise £62 😊❤️
We have also enjoyed playing in the new set up of the playroom and enjoyed the new mark making board, mirror, bookcase and toys 😊 we also enjoyed playing in the roleplay doctors surgery 😊

The world of mathematics:
We have been learning about recognising numbers, colours, sizes and shapes we also learnt about adding and subtracting 😊 we did this through games, colouring sheets and out and about in the environment 😊

Musical beats: We enjoyed dancing to different music, singing songs, playing our new instruments, music sack, action songs and music games 😊

Outdoor adventures:
We had loads of fun going to the parks, exploring the woods and snow, collecting sticks and make picture frames for our pictures and going on a colour hunt,

The world of food:
We have had loads of fun learning about where food comes from through books, videos and crafts, going to the market and doing food tasting with the food we brought and cooking making biscuits, cakes and soda bread 😊

Festival:
The children loved learning about different cul and special days we did Valentine’s Day cards, coloured a st David’s day dragon picture, a picture for st Patrick’s day and dancing to Irish music and Easter cooking, crafts and a Easter egg hunt 😊

comic relief:
The children loved learning about comic relief and the people they help x we enjoyed raising money by having a great Bluey themed party, sponsored walk around the fields and seeing how many times they could catch a ballon 😊 They managed to beat their target of £50 and raise £62 😊

Discovery time 😊🌳

Last term we learnt about the season’s autumn and winter then did Christmas 😊 the children really enjoyed learning about these through a range of craft activities, talking about the changes in the weather and environment and looking at books 😊 they also enjoyed playing and exploring with the toys and roleplay area x 😊 we also learnt about different festivals like Diwali and harvest and the sad passing of the queen where a lovely friend was able to take a card and flowers for us to London to lay in the parks ❤️

Discovery time:
Autumn term we did discovery time on a Monday morning where the children explored a range of different activities that allowed them to try new things, gain confidence, learn about different textures and have lots of fun 😊

Musical beats:
Autumn term we explored the music sack, musical instruments, dancing and action songs 🎼 the children were able to gain more confidence in choosing what they would like to sing and play, develop and practice their speech and language skills, learn different beats and rhythm and follow instructions 😊

Outdoor adventures:
We had lots and fun in the autumn term exploring the environment going for walks in the fields, going to the woods, playing in the park and garden, visiting the remembrance site, collecting conkers, going on a nature hunt and exploring the river 😊🌳

We enjoyed finishing off our topic on values x we loved raising money for the guide dogs and smashed our £50 target to raise £74 pounds 😊 we loved building dens in the woods, going on walks, cooking , singing, reading stories, Easter egg hunts, playing with the toys and so much more 😊

This term our topic is ‘Our values’ this will include learning about ;

We will be doing this through play, craft activities, role play, talking about the subjects and toys. We will also be doing a fundraising activity where the children will choose what charity they would like to use and then we will be doing a dressing up day, cake sale and buy a photobook 😊 we will be learning about the charity and seeing how our values can be used in the fundraising 😊 during the term we will be also doing musical beats and outdoor adventures 😊 this is some of the things we have been doing so far;

Kindness hearts and kindness cards, talking about what things are kind and not kind. 😊

Talking about how we can be respectful by using manners like please and thank you and looking after things like animals, people, our environment and belongings we also learned the makaton signs please and thank you 😊

In musical beats we have been dancing, used the musical instruments with the song cards, actions songs and movements and the musical sack 😊

For outdoor adventures we have been for a walk, been to the park, collected sticks to make picture frames for our heart pictures and did an obstacle course😊

The last terms topic stories and Christmas including sensory time musical beats and outdoor adventures 😊😊😊

Outdoor adventures are back 🥳🥳🥳 we have had lots of fun for the first few weeks 😊 we have explored the woods making dens and playing on the hills and ramps , enjoyed outdoor picnic and story time and been on a nature hunt where we also used the bits we found to make nature collages 😊🌲🪵🍁🌼

Over the last few weeks we have had fun singing, dancing with ribbons, learning action songs, choosing from the music sack (minus the sack😂) and playing instruments to a beat and different loudness 🎼🎼

Sensory time has been lots of fun the past few weeks we our new sensory/ explorer tray and different games 😊 we have been able to explore our senses and gain confidence in doing this 😊

This term we going going to be doing mini topics and our first is fun outside to celebrate outdoor adventures coming back 🥳🥳🥳😊 we have been doing a range of activities to learn about and explore the outdoors from stories, talking about seasons at circle time to having fun in the new explorer teepee for our role play area 😊 we have also had fun doing ‘find my name’ and learning some makaton 😊 we are also enjoying learning about a different phonics letter at circle time and the older ones can bring in something for the letter for show and tell where all the children can bring in something for the colour of the week to also show everyone 😊 xx as well as all of this we have had fun playing with the toys , jigsaws and having older kids time in the afternoons with different activities and games to do 😊😊

For musical beats we have enjoyed the instruments, dancing to different kinds of music, action songs and lots of singing 😊😊

We have continued to explore our senses over the last term doing a range of activities to engage the children and give them confidence to explore, practice and learn 😊😊 from frozen yoghurt to find the animal sound 😊

Last term we finished off our topic and enjoyed lots of exploring, learning new things, practicing what we know and learning about different cultures and festivals 😊😊😊
