Shire sharp! Chingoni fire! Nkula Power! Viphya Victory!

Please comment your dorm number and create a WhatsApp group for that particular dorm. Lets see what you can do for your dorm. Apparently, the dorms require painting and furniture.

Team, we write to hear your views. Most of us consider Mtendere Secondary School as a mother that raised us and emboldened us to go on with life as we succeeded into different colleges or jobs. Some of us have since become managers, teachers, accountants, marketers, auditors, engineers and several other jobs. However, as alumnai or sons of mother Mtendere, what have we done for her? What have we given back in return so that our brothers going there can learn with ease? There are a lot of things that as alumnai, we can do for Mtendere Secondary School. The school has a few challenges that as alumnai we can assist them with. However, for all this to successfully happen, we firstly need to form a functional alumnai group. We have seen our friends from other schools for instance Zomba Catholic Secondary School, St. Patrick's, etc have strong and functional alumnai bodies that visit their former schools and help with different items. Together we can, let's do this. Let's mobilise each other and bring together every little we can and ensure our brothers going through Viphya, Nkula, Chongoni and Shire corridors are happy and are learning with ease. What do you think? What are your views? How do you think we can best do this? Your views, suggestions and advice are welcome.

How can mosquitoes invade and concur Mtesco? ?

Who is to blame?

a)poor management evidenced by Environmental and Moral decay on the campus now

b)Mosquitoes

13/02/2016

# Mtendere Secondary school forced to close after malaria attack #.......
By Martha Chikoti
Now the question is what is the Root of the problem??
To my Opinion the answer is "Poor Management by the current school
administration". Look at the previous decades Mtendere has never been
closed because of any disease outbreak, should we say kuti the by then
there were no Anopheles Mosquitoes to transmit the Malaria
Plasmodium?
Definitely the answer will be a big "No" but how were we able to
survive? The answer is simple "proper management by the
administration"
1. I remember back in 2009/2010 we used to go the clinic to receive
free mosquito nets, but why not now?
2. The bush around the school campus was always cleared, but why not
now?
3. All rooms (Dorms and classes) were fumigated at the beginning of
each term, but why not now?
This is to show lack of seriousness on the students welfare by the
current administration because a school with a big reputation in Malawi
like Mtendere to be closed down because of Malaria is a "Disgrace" and
actually shameful.
Apart from the Malaria case, Poor management is further seen by lack
of hygiene around the campus anyone who has gone to Mtendere the
previous 3 months can agree with me. Go and see the toilets and the
bathrooms so dirty than it used to be, even then dinning hall so dirty
as if its a mere secondary not the same top class secondary school it
used to be. Can't this case lead to another disaster?
Now as Mtendere Allumini what is your point of view? Let us not sit
down and watch our Mother Mtendere loseing its Value. A change
always starts with a voice from the concerned. Let us do something to
prevent a situation like this repeating itself in future.
Luceat Lux Vestra. "Let your light shine"
All in all Bro. Balakasi was the best headteacher Mtendere will ever
have and anyone who played a part to his downfall also know that u
played a part in the misfortunes happening to our Mother Mtendere.
Every person has his weaknesses let remember that.
# This is just my point of view as a concerned allumini nothing
personal....

Regards,
Charles Chinangwa (2011 aluminus)
