Heading home from an enlightening school board conference. Many workshops to choose from and interesting speakers. Some of the workshops I attended included: Using Data to Make Decisions, School Finance, Adult Bullying, and the Illinois Balanced Accountability Model. I was fortunate to have a room just above the route for the Chicago Christmas Parade.

My selfless lovely wife.

Parting is such sweet sorrow. After 29 years and miles of fun riding, my beloved bike is currently on it's way to Ghana. I hope the recipient will enjoy it as much as I have all these years and is able to use it to ride to school, to the market and lots of other places.

Thank you to the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity for their generous donation of a custom built reading bench for the Butterfly Garden at Hazel Dell school. The organization donated not only the bench but also 200 new books for the school library. Thank you for your thoughtful and generous gifts.

Great All City Music Festival. I think School Board President, Mike Zimmers, is having way too much fun. For the finale, Mike read a narrative while an all city combined middle school and high school band played and choir sang "Within These Hallowed Halls"
