Today is History Conference Day!! Be sure to go attend as many panels as you're able to support the department and fellow students! Here we have Caitlin Kalgren, current president of the club, beginning her presentation, the five presenters for the first panel, and Sam Roha, current treasurer of the club, who will be hosting a demonstration at 5 pm of weapons from WWI and the French and Indian War

Reminder that there is no History Department Club meeting this evening.
Also, the History Department is sponsoring the Men's Basketball game tomorrow (Thursday, 2/21) at 7:30 pm! Dr. Baker is conducting the pep band! Come support the department and also have a good night enjoying the game!
The first meeting will be tonight at 7 o'clock in our traditional 216 in HSS. Dr. Ricketts is presenting on Black Women and Power this evening which will be interesting and there will also be pizza! Hope to see you there!!
Hey everyone! Just a reminder that since then university is closed, all meetings (including ours tonight) have been cancelled.
Our schedule is remaining the same, but next meeting we'll do introductions as well as the presentation. Stay warm!!
Here's the schedule for this semester's meetings! Please feel free to share so that other students can know when to come. Especially if you have friends who are not Ed majors, that are straight history majors because the clubs are combined.

Our last meeting of the semester will be this Wednesday, November 28 at 6:00pm in HSS 216. Elections will be held at 6:15, so please be punctual! Mr. Neal will be presenting a workshop on "Teaching from the Trenches" at 6:30, which will be your final opportunity for an ECA requirement. Hope to see you all there and good luck on all of your finals!!

There is also a special History Happy Hour in the History department at 1:30-3:30pm. You can stop by and grab some great food prepared by the faculty!!

There is a resume builder tonight cohosted with History Club. It will be at 6pm in room 310 in the HSS building.
Our next SSED meeting will be this Wednesday, September 19 at 6:00pm in room HSS 216. This will count as an ECA Requirement for members and is required for any 242 students. Please plan on attending, as this Geography Workshop will sure to be a *world* of fun. Hope to see you all there!

Massive congratulations to Anastasia Clayton (IUP '18) who will be starting teaching this Fall in the Mechanicsburg area, teaching 6th grade ancient world history. She's part of a family of teachers -- here she is posing with her sister, Daisha Clayton, who has been a teacher for 18 years.
Our FINAL SSED Club meeting will be held Wednesday, May 2, at 6:00pm in HSS 216. We will be hosting the seniors in the program to speak and answer questions about student teaching! There will also be pizza and drinks during the panel! I hope you see you all there! Good luck on all your finals and have a wonderful summer!!
We have finally gotten a picture of this year's officers for Spring and Fall semster of 2018!
We have a panel of local teachers here to have discussion of the arming teachers a bill that was proposed to the Senate. We have both liberal and conservative view within the panel. @ Indiana University of Pennsylvania
